Quiet oak woodland, cold and humid

Very pretty spot in the middle of the woods. Very quiet, with little car traffic and a few walkers. We were the only van there overnight. The only drawback was the dampness, which made it too cold to enjoy being outside; but we may simply have been unlucky.

The site and its surroundings are wonderful. Twice at night, cars drove past honking, and this seems to be customary in the area. I would not let that stop me from going; it would be a shame to miss this because of others. That said, I would be very careful about where I spend my money.

Spectacular place to spend the night. There are many areas where you can park a car, motorhome or camper. There are picnic tables and bins, so there are no excuses for not leaving the place better than you found it. Please do not leave toilet paper in the forest! The road leading to the site is paved.

Excellent place. We spent two peaceful nights in the cool forest. The site is well maintained. There were so many motorhomes and converted vans that it almost felt like a municipal campsite! But the area is very large, so it was not a problem.

Excellent, peaceful and very beautiful spot in an oak forest. Plenty of paths for walking and a bin for disposing of all your rubbish.

Very beautiful area, but because it was so damp we were afraid to drive onto the grass in case we could not get out.

I only moderately liked this place; the forest feels rather oppressive. There are more open pitches a little farther on. Otherwise, it is very quiet, and the trees are beautiful.

Enchanting little forest! Very convenient for picnicking and spending a quiet night. Locals pass through, but there were no problems. There are bins, but we picked up rubbish left by campers—tissues and towels. Please respect this beautiful natural spot!

We spent a very peaceful night. It is lovely to be able to walk a dog in the forest. We met locals in the evening and morning walking and exercising their dogs, and they were not hostile at all. It probably helps to be the only vehicle, as that leaves space for them in the car park. No rubbish scattered everywhere, and quite a few bins.

The locals clearly do not want people staying here. During the day, while you are inside, they throw beer cans at the motorhome. They come and park right next to you even though there is plenty of space. They give you hostile looks and are incapable of saying hello. The people are extremely dirty and leave all their rubbish behind even though there is a bin.

Beautiful place to spend the night and go on excursions around the area. We were almost alone; there was only one other camper. Quite a lot of animal noises, and people exercising in the morning, but it did not bother us at all. There is no water source or river nearby.

depends what you're looking for I guess but there was soooo many people, it's basically a very popular public park. didn't feel comfortable staying. Fine for a lunch stop. Also, zero phone coverage.
