Been here?
Quiet, family-run campsite between Schafberg and Chäserugg in Toggenburg, popular with long-term campers but with dedicated motorhome pitches. Owners are consistently praised as friendly and helpful, sanitary facilities are clean (if somewhat dated), and fresh bread can be pre-ordered. Pitches are gravel and often tight or sloped, so wedges help. A bus stop sits right outside, with area bus pass included. Reception is only staffed a couple of hours daily but phone booking works well. Prices vary by season and occupancy, generally reasonable for Switzerland, cash often preferred.

Very beautiful place with a superb view. The operator is very nice. Pitches are assigned but somewhat cramped when busy. Sanitary facilities are clean. Bus right in front of the site and included. The adjacent road is quiet at night. Gladly again.
Great view when it is not raining. The motorhome pitches require leveling blocks, but that is no problem. Bread rolls can be ordered in the morning. Sanitary facilities are somewhat old but very clean.
We spent a wonderful week at this family-run campsite, occupied by friendly long-term campers. Fresh bread can be ordered until 6 p.m. The bus stop is right by the campsite, and with the guest card you can reach numerous excursion destinations on foot or by bike. The Gamser camping shop immediately helped us solve our van problem.
We stayed there for one night. Campervan, two people, without electricity: €30, perfectly reasonable. The owner was very nice and let us come spontaneously. It is quiet, not cramped, and quite attractive between the mountains.
I do not know if it was because it was off-season, but when we went there in October, it looked nothing like the photos. It was more like a camp for traveling people who appeared to live there year-round (see the last photo). We felt as though we were on their property, and the atmosphere was a little oppressive. A shame, because the owner was very friendly, the price reasonable, and the facilities high quality.
Reception is open only twice a day for one hour, but you can register by phone. It worked wonderfully; the operators are very friendly and the sanitary facilities are very clean. The pitches are very sloped, but leveling blocks solve that. One night, one person, without electricity: CHF 18.60 including a hot shower.
Campsite in beautiful natural surroundings. Mostly occupied by long-term campers, but there are also designated pitches. Everything is very family-oriented and clean. Bread-roll service available. We spent a long weekend there and felt very comfortable.
A superb place to spend the night, or longer, in magnificent surroundings and at an unbeatable price for the services provided.
Perfectly suitable for a short holiday for us. Everything is a little dated. Wi-Fi is available only in the main building. Bus stop directly in front of the campsite. Local bus pass included. The guest card includes a few discounts. The staff is very friendly and helpful.
We felt truly comfortable here! Outside the season, we were the only caravan and there were very few long-term campers, although the site is obviously almost 100% occupied by them. The operator was very friendly, the sanitary facilities very clean, and the view magnificent. We would come again!
Pleasant campsite with a gravel surface for motorhomes. We paid €32 for a motorhome, two people, and electricity. Clean and tidy. The adjacent road is not heavily trafficked. Cash only!
