Yacht-club parking, camping prohibited

The woman told us immediately on arrival that camping was prohibited. What a pity, because this could have been a wonderful place in a lovely area.

We did not stay because the place is close to residents’ homes. We preferred the marina farther away.

We stayed for a single night and encountered no problems whatsoever.

We spent two quiet nights here. Bathrooms are nearby, as is the lakeside beach, with restaurants close at hand, and there is no charge.

Excellent base for exploring the surrounding area. With a 7.5-metre vehicle, we felt a little conspicuous, though stealth is hardly possible anywhere! The nearby beaches were ideal for keeping a young child entertained, with numerous playgrounds, small sandy coves, and cafés. During our weekday visits, nobody was collecting fees. I liked the more peaceful beach south of the parking area. Our son really enjoyed the amusement attractions nearby. The Ferris wheel offered nice scenery, but looked somewhat unsafe and poorly maintained, so I’m unsure it was worth riding. The parking area sees plenty of pedestrians and is unexpectedly busy, yet remains quiet. We had an outstanding meal at Halászcsárda and strongly recommend it. There is also a bar and a playground beside the restaurant.

The place is okay, but during the season there are also many cars parked there, leaving very little space for larger vehicles. There is also a house right at the entrance with a sign saying that parking is not allowed there. I think the resident keeps an eye on the area.

Overall good. We spent the night Saturday/Sunday. There is a beach nearby (we paid around €4 per person for a ticket after 6 p.m.). We used the water tap at the train station a few minutes away (porta-potties and toilets). There are barbecue areas and rubbish bins, good shade, and lots of space. Many people pass by until around 10 p.m.; after that it was fine. A train does pass by, and we heard some music from parties nearby.

Nice place, even though many walkers passed by. The local people did not seem to have a problem with it. We spent nights there on different occasions during our 14-day holiday. The lido is within walking distance and, after paying the entrance fee, also offers toilets and a cold shower. Anyone who does not need comfort and services will be well served here!

Many trees provide shade. A train runs immediately beside the site, but it is barely audible. The lake is across the road, although swimming appears to require payment: Vivera Beach costs only three euros per person and includes a shower, without shampoo, plus toilet access. We enjoyed our visit.

We spent one night without problems. There is a railway nearby, but it is not very noisy. Close to the park.
