Quiet climbing-park site, seasonal closure

With a VW bus/car you can park for free. Public toilets are available (and were even clean). Nice parking area with a high-ropes climbing course and fitness trail.

Okay, the 10 spaces are occupied by (probably) long-term stays, but there are other free, available, and quiet spaces (without services except access to black-water disposal). Flat terrain, surrounded by the memorial park and the tree-climbing site. Peaceful place.

A great base for various outings. Ten official camper spaces, but many more motorhomes are parked here and this seems to be no problem at all. Costs and facilities are as described. Absolutely fine for one or more nights! We will return.

Be careful: on March 21, there is a Kurdish New Year celebration in this car park! On the Saturday, the entire car park, including the empty spaces where campers could stand, is occupied! The steep hill to the camper area is 7%. Impossible to cycle up and barely walkable. Otherwise, this camper area has everything. Everything works except the toilet disposal point, which is integrated into the grey-water drain. What a shame.

Excellent space for motorhomes. Too bad there are only 10 spots, and they are quite far apart. I found everything occupied and had to spend the night in the large adjacent car park for cars.

Clean, free, and well visited despite the gloomy season. I got a space with electricity in the morning, so it is worth arriving early. You can also stay calmly and comfortably without electricity.

Nice pitch with 10 spaces. Free from November 1, but then the water and waste-disposal facilities are closed. I think that's fair. Unfortunately, the pitch is always full quite early. I have been here several times in November and after 6 p.m. (even during the week) I always had to drive on. So Bielefeld: more of these, please!

We stayed one night next to the camper car park. It's okay for a night. Very quiet. Ideal for walking the dog. No problem staying longer if you are self-sufficient. About 25 minutes to the city. 5 stars because it is camping.

If the wind is blowing the wrong way, you can't leave the motorhome windows open because it smells like sewage from the disposal station. It is actually only for grey water, but everyone dumps their toilet waste there because there is no other option. The motorhomes emptying here arrive every 15 minutes during the day on weekends. It's a shame the operator can't find a better solution.

Good place, quiet at night. We are now in the adjacent car park: lots of caravans with trailers and workers, but no trouble. No charge for an overnight stay.

Small car park, perfect for a break. Ideally located on the heights of Bielefeld. Note that payment is in coins (€5 + €1 for electricity). Fortunately, Germans are very welcoming and we were able to exchange a banknote for five coins.

At the moment, it is not possible to connect a hose to the water column. Only small quantities can be collected using an improvised solution.

A €5 pitch (payment by coins only). No shade. Internet works with all mobile networks: O2, Telekom, and Vodafone. Water is currently free (you don't need to insert money). We will definitely come back.

Everything works as described, no O2 reception; apparently no reception with the other networks either. You have to climb the hill.

Unfortunately, contrary to what is described here, toilet emptying is not possible. Only wastewater. See the City of Bielefeld website. All 10 spaces were occupied. However, a large car park for cars is directly adjacent. Usable without problems for vehicles up to 3.5 tonnes.

We often stop here on our trips. Beautiful location with hiking trails right on the doorstep and within walking distance downhill to the charming old town.

It does what it is supposed to. However, the actual pitch is too small. Like many others, we stayed on the adjacent gravel area alongside permanently parked cars. Not a problem for me since I am self-sufficient and only stayed one night.

Excellent location, though additional spaces would help. Several vans used the neighbouring car park without trouble, and the nearby water and waste-disposal facilities are very convenient.

The site is in a scenic park on Johannisberg, close to a climbing park. Lovely area for walks. €5 for 24 hours is certainly a fair price, and water can be emptied and refilled.
