Localita' Zuarbara, 09094, Marrubiu
Been here?
A large parking area beside the Di Zuradili picnic park and Santa Maria Zurabara church, with shaded trees and possible overnight stays. A spring-water tap is present, but it is not potable and has also been reported not working. The site is a starting point for Monte Arci hikes, with two restaurants nearby. It can be quiet at night, though occasional youth, traffic or loud music may disturb.

Non-potable water fountain.
A rather bleak place, not very reassuring. We went somewhere else…
Large parking area next to a picnic area, where sleeping overnight in the vehicle seems to be allowed. Locals come to fill their water at the fountain, which was not working when we were there—rather inconvenient, as we were relying on it to fill up. There are fountains in the small town of Marrubiu, 10 minutes away.
We were there to fill our water tank—perfect!
A beautiful place in the middle of nature, but the slope drives you crazy!
Beautiful and apparently peaceful spot. We stopped for one night with other motorhomes. Unfortunately, we were disturbed by a car that played music at extremely high volume around midnight. The intention was clearly to disturb the campers parked there. Very unpleasant.
Pretty, shaded parking area, now completely clean (I picked up all the rubbish), with a water point at the beginning of the public park and a second fountain in the middle of the park. A bonus: the municipal workers empty the bins every day. Lots of coming and going during the day and night. Poor 4G reception.
Probably very good, but this Saturday evening many young people (quiet) met there in their cars and there was not a single motorhome. We did not stay.
A nice place to sleep. The water tap is used frequently day and night. But the parking area is so large that you can find a quiet corner. The police made their rounds once at night. Picnic area beneath tall trees in the shade.
We had a very peaceful night. The park next door was lovely for walking the dog. There is plenty of shade there. The police drove past once late in the evening and early in the morning to check that everything was in order. We felt very safe. We were also able to fill our fresh-water tank.
We stayed here for one night while passing through. Despite a group of young people being parked there listening to music when we arrived, this did not prevent us from having a very pleasant night beneath one of the trees. Just a stone’s throw from the junction for the SS131, really convenient for continuing in either direction.
In itself, a very nice place to stay overnight, but there are lots of mosquitoes as soon as it gets dark. Unfortunately, some young people parked their Golf 4 right next to us, with the engine running and loud music. There were fireworks nearby. We were probably less lucky than most.
Superb place, quiet, with a water point.
Very nice spot. We were only 3 vehicles staying overnight in mid-May. Very peaceful surroundings. A few people came by during the day to collect water from the fountain. Convenient water supply. Standard tap.
Really impossible to level your camper, except perhaps in the parking area next to the fountain, where many locals come to collect water until late in the evening. On Friday evening, quite a few cars drove past during the evening and stopped in the rows to relax.
Great place to spend the night. Surrounded by beautiful nature, quiet and peaceful. Locals flock to the spring, so remember that the area beside it is not a parking lot. Fill up with water and repack a little farther away. Lots of insects: flies, mosquitoes and wasps.
Great parking area for an overnight stay! Plenty of space and a beautiful view, clean and no mosquito nuisance. It is quite busy at the spring, so it is not particularly quiet, but nothing excessive.
Positive: Very good spring water. Rubbish bin full but not around the parking area. Accessible road. Peaceful place. Negative: Uneven ground. Police came during the night but did not say anything. (Some feedback stops them.) Flies and mosquitoes. Keep it clean and please take your toilet paper with you.
