Champ du Seigneur, 05310, Freissinières
Been here?
Flat meadow beside the Durance, suitable for vans on a narrow, practicable path. Recent information says the path is too narrow for camping-cars, while the meadow may sometimes be closed for sheep. Trees provide some shade, and the area is generally quiet. The railway and road are nearby, with their noise partly masked by the river.

Perfect place for a van (the path is too narrow for a motorhome). Little noise, trees providing shade, and level ground!Translating
Unfortunately, there is no longer any access. The meadow is closed for a lovely flock of sheep. But 18 months have passed since the last review. Fortunately, there is a place to turn around a little further on. That lowers the rating.Translating
Beautiful place in a large field by the river, next to the railway. We stayed one night in August and had a really nice and quiet night. Some dog walkers came around and in the morning a pony ride passed by, no problem at all, everyone was really friendly.
Nice spot, large flat meadow. The only drawback is the very loud river and road noise. The railway didn’t bother us, as only two trains passed in the evening around 9 p.m. and one in the morning. The access road is generally fine, apart from branches that scratched our van: it’s quite narrow! Don’t be afraid of damaging your bodywork!! Access to the river is rather dangerous.Translating
Spacious open area, with some shade beside the river. You can hear the train in the background, but it doesn’t bother you because it is masked by the sound of the river. Yesterday there was a rave somewhere and we could hear the noise, but it didn’t disturb us. Idyllic place to disconnect and rest.Translating
Excellent for wild camping; nature and respect for the place are top-notch.Translating
