Wonderful scenery in every direction. Nights are quiet, though traffic begins around 7 a.m. We would happily return.
A pleasant place with excellent views across Hope Valley and the Moors. Fairly level, with a few cars but nothing excessive. Another spot higher up the hill was somewhat busier.
It can become extremely busy here, although the scenery is stunning.
Fantastic setting and views. We stayed on Friday night and it remained quiet apart from one noisy car, possibly a police vehicle. It is a great base for hikes; we walked Stanage on Friday and Higger Tor on Saturday.
A great place with only a couple of other campers and very little evening traffic. Recommended.
We visited on a Friday night and found the road extremely busy and noisy. It was also the weekend.
Excellent for both sunset and sunrise, with breathtaking views. We parked perpendicular to the roadside on a reasonably level surface. One star is deducted because petrol enthusiasts often meet here and film themselves speeding past. It was quiet by 10 p.m.
Beautiful views, even better farther along the road where we stopped. Plenty of room and several other visitors. Very quiet, with a short walk to Stanage Edge.
Probably useful for a brief rest while travelling, but unsuitable for a longer stay because daytime noise from the nearby busy road is significant.
Lovely views, peaceful during the night.
