Seaside port parking, no electricity

Relatively noisy parking area (tractor procession), with lots of dust. Major problem: there are no rubbish bins, no way to dispose of recyclable waste, and you have to pay €2 to open a general-waste bin, meaning you have to store your rubbish. The municipality does not seem to realise these inconveniences. Completely absurd!✦Translating

Pleasant parking area near Port du Bec. Quite noisy around the tides because oyster farmers pass by with their tractors. Reasonable price: €5.90 for the night and €2.50 for water. The only downside is the lack of rubbish bins, except for the paid one at €2 per opening. Bouin, Beauvoir and Challans are the only municipalities to operate this way.✦Translating

In the low season, a very pleasant place! Oysters straight from the water at the producer, Aurélien Péaud, at Polder Sud, second bridge. A warm welcome and beautiful products! No evening food service yet.✦Translating

The ballet of boats and tractors, following the tides, brings the place to life. Emptying is free, but water, electricity and household rubbish are charged; €2 per bag, payable by smartphone. Sad for people just passing through.✦Translating

Completely fine for €5. The machine is working again. There is a rubbish bin at the service point, but unfortunately it costs €2. Beautiful place right at the harbour; from 8 a.m. it gets noisy because of the road. The restaurant is now open only from 12–2 p.m. We ate excellently. A great little spot to watch the oyster farmers at work or, at low tide, take beautiful photos of the fishing boats lying in the mud at least three metres below the walkways. The €5 parking fee from 6 p.m. is justified by the waste and water services and a clean toilet on site.✦Translating

This place is very beautiful, with a view of the harbour and lovely sunsets. You can also buy seafood. There is a huge shop selling fishing equipment and a restaurant. The downside is that there is no way to dispose of household rubbish. Since you pay for the site, including an additional tourist tax, the ticket should at least provide the rubbish code. The waste and water services can also be used without payment.✦Translating

A fantastic little motorhome spot if you want to experience the activity at an oyster-farming harbour. Pitches directly at the harbour. Small restaurant. We are always happy to come back.✦Translating

Nice spot for spending the night. Shaded spaces are rare, but it remains a pleasant parking area. No height limit. Directly overlooking the very charming Port du Bec. We slept there on a Friday night, so we were not disturbed the next morning by the oyster farmers’ activity, as they were off.✦Translating

Yes, yes... a nice place, especially as there are fewer and fewer places in this Breton marsh to spend the night, unlike a few years ago. Superb walks and cycle rides. But who is bothered by us staying beyond 8 p.m.? Zero points indeed for waste sorting: what are we supposed to do with our packaging and rubbish?

Lovely, relaxing and invigorating place! The only downside is the lack of recycling bins, as in most places in France! We are passing through and consume locally; help us, Mr Mayor, dispose of our properly sorted waste! Also, my fellow motorhome travellers, don’t leave without visiting Melon’s—excellent, very fresh seafood!

Lovely place facing this little “Chinese” harbour. The pitches are not next to one another, and there is an appreciated grassy area behind the motorhomes. Close to the road but quiet from 5 p.m.; perfect night. However, an early wake-up from 7 a.m. when activities resume. Magnificent sunset. Affordable, delicious oysters at Melon’s, with a 24/7 vending machine. Bagged rubbish disposal... impossible!

The payment machine was out of order, so payment and water access were impossible. There are no rubbish bins either; each bag, regardless of size, costs €2 by card through a website. Complaints should go to the Mairie. It is otherwise a lovely overnight stop.

€5 parking, nothing to complain about: quiet in the evening but noisy in the morning due to traffic. Regarding the service point, if you want to fill up with water and, like me, you do not have a male-to-male quick connector, it is impossible to connect your hose. It would be sensible to install a threaded tap like everyone else.
