Mountain viewpoint, difficult manoeuvring

Wonderful spot with a view of the mountains. We asked at the restaurant in the village and were told that it is permitted to stay here. The approach is relatively exciting, but not problematic. Officially, the restaurant has a pitch with a key code, but it was already occupied, so we were happy that we were simply allowed to stand there anyway—something that has become very rare. Suitable for smaller vans; motorhomes are rather unsuitable. Be sure to eat at “Sidrería Casa Niembro” in the village. The private pitch about 100 m below this one belongs to the restaurant. You can stand there even better if you ask there for the code to the combination lock.

A beautiful view to wake up to. Open the Merlin app because many unusual bird species are present. The area is also worth exploring on foot. One of the finest viewpoints in the Picos.

Indeed, the place offers an incredible panorama, but it is very small and far too crowded! Between the vans and the cars, it’s complicated… other spots are more suitable in the area.

Fantastic place to spend the night. We came with a large van and had no problem getting there. However, bear in mind that if you meet another vehicle, maneuvering can be difficult. We recommend arriving early to find the level spots.

At the top there is a path that must not be blocked. We decided to spend the night in a space beside the road with room for two. The only problem was that a camper opened its grey-water tank even though there is no service for that, leaving the whole place smelly and unhygienic. Please let’s show a little more respect for these places, so we are not surprised when overnight stays are banned.

Great place to spend the night. Do take into account the ringing cowbells around you and the flies, which can be a bit bothersome. Otherwise it is a fantastic place and highly recommended!

A special place with incredible views, and peaceful for spending the night, although someone must have been annoyed that I stayed overnight on June 27 and 28 and relieved themselves next to it. It is a shame that some people are so uncivilized.

The views are spectacular. The road is slightly steep but manageable, and there was enough room to let cars pass; two vans would struggle to pass each other. I deducted a star because the flies were overwhelming, probably due to nearby cattle. It was hot, and we left rather than keeping all the windows closed. Fine for lunch or a hike.

Fantastic wild-camping location, very peaceful with superb views. Drive carefully because passing places are scarce, and do not enter the village because you will not get through. There is one motorhome bay plus a small lane for four vans if everyone coordinates departures. A lovely grassy picnic area is beside it.

Great place to sleep in the middle of the mountains. Splendid view and quiet night. It is true that the road climbs quite steeply and is narrow, but at 7.80 m we had no problem.

Good spot to spend the night along a very quiet road. The access road is indeed quite narrow, so it is not especially suitable for motorhomes. Lulled by cowbells and birdsong. With clear skies, you can see an enormous number of stars at night. Well located for reaching the starting point of the Ruta del Cares hike. Be respectful of the place and the people who live nearby.

The road up to the village and site is narrow and steep. Passing a larger vehicle coming downhill may be difficult or impossible, so be ready to reverse. The site itself is amazing.
