Chemin Rural dit des Prés, 74110, Montriond
Been here?
Small private campsite on the outskirts of Morzine, near Montriond. Pitches include electric hookup; costs range from €33–45 per night (2025–26). Staff provide daily bread service and some speak English. Facilities include basic showers (no on-site toilet paper reported) and a common fridge. No dump or fill station on-site; grey water must be emptied on the street and rubbish taken to the village 500m away. A 30-minute river walk reaches Morzine town.

The welcome was not great and the organisation was lacking. Paying €45 for a shared place with another van is not ideal and feels expensive. There is no waste-dumping point, water refill, or internal rubbish bin. Only come here if you have no alternative.
Excellent stay. We arrived before noon on Monday and found a pitch without difficulty. Check-in was complicated by our poor French, but we managed. Pitch 11 was spacious and had electricity nearby. The showers and facilities were adequate, access to the Morzine path was easy, and we felt safe. We would definitely return.
Rustic campsite with unlimited showers at no extra charge. We stayed during Harley Day, so it was extremely crowded and the bathrooms were not always clean, but overall we would return. There is a shared refrigerator for guests without electricity. When Milena is there, you can communicate in English; the owner only speaks French and is not particularly friendly. Fair price.
Pleasant little site with fantastic mountain views. The bathrooms and washing-up area were clean, with plenty of hot water. The washing machine is apparently in the woman’s private property rather than on site. It is an easy 30-minute riverside walk into Morzine. Options for camping nearby are limited, and we paid €33 per night, perhaps slightly expensive compared with other sites. I would return to the area.
Mylène gave us a warm welcome. The surroundings are beautiful, and you can walk directly from the campsite along the stream or into the village. The sanitary facilities are dated but work perfectly. Bread rolls are available every day. Mylène is a wonderful host who makes sure everything is satisfactory.
Friendly little campsite where we were warmly welcomed. There are walks beside the river and through the forest, and the town centre is accessible. Our dogs were welcome. We had no problems, although some pitches could use small hedges to provide more privacy. We paid €46 for one night for two people, electricity, four dogs and breakfast. Thank you for the welcome!
Basic and costly campsite; we paid €36 per night for two people with electricity. There is not much choice locally, so you accept what is available. A lovely 25-minute riverside walk leads to Morzine, and there is also a bus. It serves its purpose.
Good campsite with all the necessary facilities, and it remains open during winter. It is not inexpensive, but with so few alternatives nearby, there is little to criticize.
Càmping senzill i agradable. Autocaravana i esquí. Autobús a 100 m per anar a les pistes. Electricitat de 220 V, dutxes calentes, cuineta… La senyora és molt simpàtica!!
Small, pleasant and uncomplicated campsite, well suited to cyclists.
Simple campsite with friendly staff and an excellent location, about ten minutes by bicycle from Morzine. The sanitary facilities are clean and bread is available. A pleasant surprise.
A basic campsite that is perfectly adequate for motorhomes. It has very good access to cycling routes and the bike park. Reservations are not accepted, so it is best to call in the morning and ask. The woman also speaks English.
We would not stay here again. There was no toilet paper or hand soap, no bins, and some toilets could not be locked. The woman was not very helpful, and the price was excessive for what was provided. The direct cycling and walking path to Morzine is the only advantage. It also rained throughout both days of our stay.
We absolutely do not recommend it! We have stayed at many campsites in France and Spain, and this was by far the worst. It is extremely expensive for what it offers. Rather than a campsite, it is simply a field with pitches. Electricity and decent showers are available, but they do not justify the price. We paid €82 from Saturday evening to Sunday, including Sunday daytime. There is no bar or reception, and we were not even allowed to park on a pitch, only on the track, supposedly because our van would leave marks on the grass. The view is unimpressive, the gate is opened and closed manually, and the waste-disposal point is just a hole in the ground. It is obvious they take advantage of being the only campsite. There is no sense of customer service or commercial professionalism. We had read the reviews but came anyway; we should not have. Dogs are allowed for a fee, but cannot walk around the campsite even on a lead, only outside it.
