A lovely small site with fairly spacious pitches. It was very hot, so everyone wanted a place beneath the trees. Facilities were very good and clean, and the swimming pool was useful for cooling down. I would probably skip the snack bar, as the selection is limited and the chips were extremely greasy.✦Translating

We stayed for 4 nights, two people in a van with electricity, €110 in July. 1 star for the pitch, 1 star for the very clean toilets, 1 star for the welcome. The pool is good; watch out for the green waterline. Avoid the snack bar; the communal freezer is too small in this hot weather.✦Translating

Magnificent setting, very warm welcome, many pitches of all sizes, with plenty of shade. The pool is a major bonus in this hot weather. Downside: quite noisy because some campers have no consideration and think they are alone, plus occasional freight trains. The facilities are clean and functional.✦Translating

Beautiful campsite on the Cher. Simple but very clean facilities. We booked for two nights and requested a shady pitch. The pitch we were assigned had no trees, with shade only from around 5 p.m. At temperatures of 38°C, that was difficult. Check-in was friendly but very slow. The swimming pool was hardly usable because of the many noisy children.✦Translating

Quiet campsite 5 minutes from Chenonceau Castle, with a cycle path, spacious pitches, no hedges, friendly welcome, pleasant pool and adequate facilities. The only downside is the nearby railway line.✦Translating

Peaceful and beside the water, this campsite allows you to enjoy the surroundings of Chenonceau Castle via a very accessible path along the Cher, on the campsite side. It’s a shame that there is no pedestrian access at the end of the campsite!✦Translating

Unfortunately, only 2 stars: one for the friendly welcome and one for the pitch beside the Cher. That’s all. Nothing that should be included according to ACSI was available! Unfortunately, we had to leave one day earlier than booked for health reasons. Naturally, there was no refund! Unfortunately, none of what the website promises is actually provided. What a shame. I recommend this campsite. The new owners are very friendly and are working to improve an already very pleasant campsite. Spacious pitches, very clean facilities, 3 km from Chenonceau Castle. However, the access road is not very wide, and the shrubs need trimming because they extend into the road. Otherwise, highly recommended.✦Translating

We spent two nights in a converted van, on a large pitch beside the water. The campsite has just changed owners, and the bar/restaurant has been renovated. Very friendly welcome. Excellent location, a 20-minute walk from Chenonceaux Castle.✦Translating

Nice campsite, but it’s a shame the ACSI service is of no use here. Although electricity is normally included in the package, it was charged extra. We had to pay the normal price, just over €22 per night; with ACSI it would have been over €25: INCOMPREHENSIBLE. In addition, the washing-up area was not operational. Hello, Pleasant campsite, very friendly welcome, flat, grassy and tree-lined pitch, very clean. The facilities need a complete overhaul, but there is hot water. The trains at night are a major nuisance; the railway is less than 200 metres away. Evening, night and early-morning trains are really unpleasant.!!✦Translating

A shaded campsite with medium-sized open pitches. The facilities are dated but clean. We did not visit the local town, but cycled to nearby caves, which were worthwhile. There is direct river access for paddleboarding towards the château, and that was lovely.✦Translating

Friendly little campsite beside the Cher, peaceful and relaxing. On-site meals by reservation, good value for money. The shower water is very hot!

Our least favourite stop so far. €74 for two nights for a family of four is expensive for what is offered. The toilets are outdated, the grass and dirt pitches are worn, and there is no privacy because they are not separated. In mid-July the site was extremely busy and the small pool was overcrowded. Swimming in the river was a positive. We had read about several previous thefts; nothing happened during our stay, but we felt uneasy and will not return.

Very pleasant campsite, spacious and tree-lined motorhome pitch, decent pool, attentive staff, excellent brasserie with very good value for money. Be sure to reserve, as it is especially popular with outside guests.

Good pitch, clean facilities. Ideal for visiting Chenonceau Castle. Excellent cycling route. The welcome was rather limited: you pay and that’s it, nothing more... The restaurant is good, but remember to book; like the welcome, it’s nothing special..... €96 for 3 nights, a van with electricity, two people in July.

Nice little campsite with a pool, very close to Chenonceau Castle. The staff are very friendly. Facilities are adequate; a mixer tap for washing dishes would be a plus.

We felt very comfortable here. You can walk or cycle to the castle, about 3 km away. The site is quite attractive, the facilities are clean, and the value for money is excellent.

A CAMC-affiliated site where some staff speak English, although a mixture of French and English works. The worn pitches have both sunny and shaded areas. There is a pleasant bar, restaurant and pool, with music on some Fridays. Facilities are slightly old-fashioned but adequate and clean. The château is about 15 minutes away by bicycle, though visiting early or late avoids the crowds. Good for a stopover or two or three nights. Boat trips and hire are directly opposite.

Good site, very clean facilities. Suggest that you inspect riverside pitches before accepting. Pitches are ill-defined and frogs are really loud at night during the breeding season. We moved after one night to a quieter pitch. Also neighbours let their dogs run loose and management ignored it. Swimming pool is good but there is very little shade and it will get very crowded in the high season.

Beautiful site directly by the water. The Cher is also quite suitable for swimming, which I did extensively yesterday evening and this morning. Good restaurant with freshly tapped beer. At reception they speak not only English but also German.

At reception, they gave us all the information we requested in a kind and friendly way. The campsite has a small swimming pool, very useful on these hot days, and a restaurant/bar where you can order bread and pastries for the next day. There is a small playground for young children. Overall, everything is recommended!

Great campsite. We arrived just before six and still got a lovely shady pitch, which was great in temperatures of 35°C. Very friendly reception. Small pool, but lovely for cooling off. Showers and toilets fine and clean. Five minutes by bike to Château Chenonceau. Highly recommended. In June, €25 per night for two people.

A good campsite with reasonably spacious pitches. Lots of shady places. Facilities are good. Nice pool. The restaurant is recommended. At weekends, local residents also use the restaurant, so booking is advisable.
