Gravel parking, loud trains

A truly idyllic spot. Beautiful view of a meadow and an old little church. The road there is quite steep and narrow. We managed with a 7-metre campervan. Walkers occasionally pass by the church. Unfortunately, there is some litter and an overflowing bin. Cars regularly come by for unclear reasons. We felt too uncomfortable and looked for somewhere else for the night.✦Translating

A lovely little place for coffee or lunch, although passing trains are quite noisy. Parking is limited and the approach is narrow, so it is unsuitable for motorhomes; small vans should manage. The road is somewhat rough, but no worse than many minor Italian roads.✦Translating

We had a wonderful one-night stay beside the historic church and vineyard, with beautiful scenery. The only drawback was occasional noise from the railway station, but it was still worthwhile.✦Translating

Low-hanging branches over the road and the road in terrible condition. We were driving a van and felt as though the wheel was about to fall off. We are not oversensitive and come from the mountains, but this road is awful. We arrived at 10 p.m. and did not feel safe; we found two people whose meeting we interrupted. During the day it is a beautiful place. We left and went to the car park behind the viaduct.✦Translating

Pleasant place with a somewhat steep but manageable approach for a Sprinter. We stayed one night alongside another van. The trains are loud, yet we would return.✦Translating

At the end of a narrow, uphill road. The place is very beautiful but isolated. We did not feel comfortable spending the night here. We stopped at the car park just after leaving the narrow road, on the main road (Via Aretina).✦Translating

Yes, very steep approach. The site was partly very muddy but otherwise okay. A very busy, loud railway line runs below. There is a small chapel and an information board about archaeological finds excavated here. We spent one night here, but it was too noisy.✦Translating

We spent one night in this superb place, where we met very welcoming locals. We visited the little church and went for a walk facing the sunset. There was enough shade in the evening and morning. We did a little cleaning when we arrived because there was quite a lot of rubbish on the ground… There are indeed trains passing fairly often, but they did not bother us; the setting made it worthwhile!✦Translating

Everything is lovely, but the so-called Sunday camper enthusiasts always complain about something and are never satisfied, so their comments are not very useful. Long live Italy and the Italians.
