Riverside parking, late road noise

We spent one night in the car park; it was fairly quiet, with a little shade under the trees in the morning and more sun during the day. There are lovely walks on the other side of the medieval bridge, with a beautiful cave to visit 1.6 km away on foot via the trails.

We arrived at 9 p.m. and left at 6:30 a.m. There were three vehicles, and it was a perfect night: quiet and lulled by the sound of the river!

Nice, level car park next to the Medieval Bridge. The flowing river lulls you to sleep. We spent New Year’s Eve here in peace and tranquillity, as all the motorhome areas were full. But, as often happens when travelling by camper, fate brought us to this wonderful free parking area.

Spent one night here (6 p.m.–9 a.m.). Medium-sized car park, tolerated overnight parking. Beautiful location on the edge of the forest, with a bench and table directly by the river. The noise from the road and river was completely acceptable. Bins available. Lac de Vin is a very beautiful small lake nearby.

A wonderful stop after a long drive. The car park was busy at 8:30 p.m. but empty by sunset. Although bins were present, one corner had lots of used toilet paper on the ground. The sound of the water was beautiful, and researching the site’s history was worthwhile; the fresh wreaths on the graves were touching. Overall, a great stop.

Motorhome parking for €15.30, with electricity. Paved pitch, surveillance camera, proximity to the river, and a lovely walk. Negative points: - Traffic continues until late at night. - The motorhome service area was poorly designed, with a large kerb. Few shops in the centre: a bakery, a bar and a hairdresser. Still, the value for money is reasonable.

Very small car park and very close to the departmental road.

We spent one night there at the end of May in our van, and it was perfect. Pleasant, clean surroundings, nice view, bakery and bar less than 5 minutes’ walk away (and a lovely little walk to get there). Thank you to the town for allowing overnight parking; let’s take care of it.

We spent 2 peaceful nights, lulled by the sound of the waterfalls. The village and shopkeepers are very friendly. Pizza truck on Saturday evening (very good), and walks along the river and up into the hills towards the Résistants’ Cave. We will return. Thank you to the municipality for leaving this car park unrestricted.

A magnificent place to spend a few hours; the river is impressive. No services, just a rubbish bin.

A superb roadside location. Traffic is quiet outside peak periods and overnight. A few cars played music but left by 9 p.m., and morning walkers caused no trouble. The village has an excellent 45-minute history trail, interesting local stories, riverside dog walks, and a shop open until 6:30 p.m. for essentials.
