Unnamed Road, 217365, Polovragi
Been here?
A basic campsite beside a mountain stream, with nearby mountain walks and a monastery to visit. The site is currently unkempt, dirty and partly overgrown, with rotting facilities and defective electricity sockets. Older reports mention showers, toilets, water and grill areas, but the campsite has also been reported closed, so facilities may not be available.

An inexpensive place to spend the night before or after driving on the Transalpina. The site is neglected, everything is dirty and rotten. Electricity is faulty at all sockets. All that beautiful EU money that was invested here, according to the signs: €50,000 on the site. What a shame.Translating
Closed campsite with no information whatsoever.Translating
Neglected site full of weeds. Someone came to mow and someone came to collect money. Neither of them cleaned or tidied up. The bins were full of used toilet paper. The rubbish bin was also full; no facilities for motorhomes, only electricity. The water heater for a shower was switched off. In short, you can spend the night there, but that’s all.Translating
We stayed here for two nights from 23 September 2023. The gate was open; there was a note on the little building to call, and she came later to collect payment. Motorhome 7.5 m, 2 people, including services, €10 per day. Toilets... well... The remaining EU money was probably used for something else, smiley. The shower water was warm, though. Very quiet day and night. Monastery complex and gorge to visit. RudiTranslating
Campsite available, EU funding collected, very nice, but despite the available phone number nobody answers… very disappointing.Translating
Simple site and nothing special; we’ve stayed in much better places. But for 50 LEI for two people and a motorhome, it’s perfectly fine. Infrastructure is typically Romanian: everything started and nothing finished. But you can shower and it is clean.Translating
Small site with 7 pitches, renovated and fenced. Call the number and the owner comes. Electricity, shower, toilet, water, outdoor barbecue area and a barbecue spot on a covered terrace. We (a family with kids and a dog) were happy to have a proper site after almost two weeks of wild camping. Very nice owner. Speaks English.Translating
