Been here?
Free overnight parking beside Loch Leven, with plenty of mostly level gravel spaces and room for more than 7 motorhomes. The area feels quiet and safe, with walks directly from the car park and a café opening at 09:00 for breakfast and light lunches. Traffic is generally quiet at night, and the lake, river walks and birdlife are close by. The entrance can become muddy.

Very quiet and beautifully situated. Long walks are possible. Many campers park here, but there is genuinely enough space.
quiet well kept car park. Feels safe, nice walk to Loch Leven and a cafe that opens at 9am for breakfast. Had mobile signal with the smarty network
We had a good night here. It’s fairly quiet and there are walks directly from the car park. Café open in the daytime. 4G/5G signal on EE. We would stay here again.
Beautiful place, calm and peaceful. The road cannot be heard at night. A short walk along the loch.
The stopping place is wonderful. There are many spaces, right by Loch Leven, and it is free.
agree with previous comments. safe, good walks, lots of bird life
Very quiet safe feeling place to spend the night after a long day driving, if passing I would definitely recommend staying here as it’s a beautiful place to walk around
Great spot! Loads of space, fairly level and close to Loch Leven and a lovely walk along the River Leven where we saw loads of different breeds of birds. There is also a cafe which offers well priced breakfast and lite lunches. Also close to M90
Good Parkup for night out of season. Were not bothered by anyone at all. Traffic was quiet at night. Surface at little muddy at the entrance bottom corner but was able to park just fine. Handy to get around the Loch and to the RSPB centre.
Such a beautiful spot, access to a long walk around the loch, and a great cafe. There were other vehicles there when I stayed but everyone was quiet and respectful.
Wonderful quiet place now in late October. We were alone for the night. There was a rubbish bin, but it was full. So we took our rubbish with us. Indeed, there is a nice coffee shop where you can have breakfast.
Gravel car park, perfectly level. More than 7 motorhomes can park comfortably. Café in the area opening at 09:00. Perfect for spending the night before going to Edinburgh.
park near cafe in the corner for loch views! peaceful and a great cafe for breakfast
Great park up with lovely walks around the Loch. Hardstanding traffic dies down at night.
Peaceful parking spot right by the lake. Completely free but well worth paying it back by buying a lovely breakfast at the cafe (clean bathrooms, warm hospitality, and great food).
Lovely spot next to a Loch that you can go wild swimming in. Very peaceful and not far from the motorway so a good stop off on your way north or south
Beautiful place with nice hiking trails. We stopped here for an afternoon nap and it was nice a quiet.
Quiet parking, with access to Loch Leven a few minutes' walk away.
Very good place for one night despite the passing traffic. Possibility of walking around the lake: 21 km. We did it on foot and it is a little monotonous. However, it should be good by bicycle (accessible to all types of bicycles, not just mountain bikes). We wanted to get something at the café, but at 4 p.m. it was already closed.
A perfect place to rest in complete peace, take a walk along the lake trails, and have a good, inexpensive breakfast at the car park café.
We spent the night here. We ate at the coffee shop. Exceptionally friendly service. If possible, spend a little money there.
Beautiful place with a lake beach two minutes away.
Great free stop over with loads of room on this fairly flat car park
Perfect spot to stop over when you're heading north or south. amazed it is free.
Amazing place to stay, free of charge and peaceful! If you’ve park in the last spot closest to the lake, you can see the beautiful sunset over it from the van window! Highly recommend!
We’re grateful for this stopover we use it whenever travelling North or back South. It’s quiet once the traffic stops has rubbish bins and Loch side walks.
Level enough, and thankful of the privilege to park there. Probably just my luck, but bang on midnight, on a rainy school-night, two boy-racer cars arrived with revving loud exhausts, stereos and voices for an hour.
Quiet night, it is a carpark for chalets but safe and lit enough, I’d recommend as a stopover for one night. Cafe opens at 9 :)
Parking for the cafe. Large free flat area with easy access to the loch and walks or cycle routes. Quiet overnight busy in the morning. No views however thus the three star for us but perfectly good.
It's a chalet park! You're just parking in their car park. Fine to stay, but not secluded
An excellent spot. Lovely walks. It was nice and quiet. Nice picnic area.
very nice stop over lodges are a bit busy but not bad just far enough from the road to not hear much
