Quiet riverside, troublesome midges

Wonderful place; we spent a peaceful night here with the sound of the river. Several motorhomes can park here. The road to get there is narrow but wide enough for motorhomes.

Lovely spot by the river, with plenty of space for several vans/motorhomes/campers. Close to the road but hardly any traffic at night, and there is also a train nearby, though it only passed around 8 a.m.

I give it 7 stars out of five. Spacious and beautifully situated. What more can I say?

Beautiful park up on grass next to river, this has to be one of my favourites just off the NC500, very peaceful, we were joined by 4 other vans. No facilities.

Lovely place to camp by the river. It is quiet and we had no problems with midges (perhaps thanks to the wind?). I recommend it!!

We stayed here for one night. Nice, reasonably level spot with a river next to it. We had no midges. You can walk along the river. The night was quiet. Don't be alarmed—until about 7 p.m., the train passes occasionally. Great!

Great spacious spot. Beautiful river with loads of fish jumping out. We sat in the river for a while. Soft flowing water with rocks and sand bottom. Loads of midges of its good weather. One of the best spots that we found during our trip. Make sure to leave it clean!!

Beautiful views all around and quiet. You can collect water from the river.

It was a pleasant place to spend the night. There was little traffic on the road and only one other van. In the evening we had a bit more trouble with the midges, so we sat closer to the river before going to sleep. There are no facilities here.

Stayed here last night, had the spot to ourselves but plenty of space for a few campers. Nice spot by the river about 10 minutes off the NC500 if that's why you're here, very little traffic. We woke up surrounded by deer which was lovely to see.

Exceptionally beautiful place to spend the night. Great that this is possible here. Let's keep it clean together and respect nature.

Very beautiful spot directly beside a small river, although the meadow was very wet.... We didn't dare drive any farther in.. But even as it was, there is room for at least 3 motorhomes.

This spot was amazing for us, we loved it. It was super quiet, little road traffic, friendly fishermen and beautiful views of river and surrounding hills. A few midges around but to be expected in such lovely weather. Only negative was lack of network signal for us, but that’s not a bad thing for everyone.

Very beautiful spot by a river. Enough space for at least 10 motorhomes. However, there is no reception, which didn't bother us.
