Been here?
This is a large free grass field opposite a baseball pitch, with a skate park, playground and access to the lake. It has parking signs, but comments indicate uncertainty about whether the field may be used outside events and whether overnight stays are permitted. There are no services. The town is within walking distance.

The many signs on site leave room for speculation. Overnight stays on the meadow are not forbidden, but they are not permitted either. The signs can be understood to mean that you may only drive onto the meadow during events. Cars are fine, but if huge motorhomes come and ruin the meadow, the prohibition sign probably won’t be far behind. Busy during the day, very quiet at night.
Great free place to Freecamp. playground, fotball field and skatepark next to the big gras field to park. great for a night!
You can park here without any problems. Huge area accessible via the entrance road at the far west. Parking signs on both sides with no time limit. But, as always, no camping!
Large meadow without services. The entrance with the parking sign was behind the no-parking signs saying “no parking from 11 p.m. to 5 a.m.” There were no motorhomes on this meadow, and we didn’t stay overnight either.
Large meadow without services. We spent one night here with two other campers. There is a very good halfpipe right next to it. The town centre is a 10-minute walk away.
You are only allowed to park on this grass area during events. For example, Midsummer.
Very large grass car park (probably 400 spaces for cars). Parking sign, no ban on motorhomes. We were alone at this spot and spent a quiet night (outside the summer season). The lake is 50 metres away and the town centre is a 20-minute walk. We recommend it.
I spent the night in the gravel car park located just before arriving there. A good opportunity to explore the town of Leksand from there. In the evening, young people drove up and down the road several times, but it didn’t bother me. At night, there was no more noise.
