This discreet, flat clay parking area is two steps from Elvas city centre and close to an entrance through the old town. It is generally quiet and has no facilities, with daytime parking also used by other cars. A recent report describes an attempted robbery while returning to the camper during the day, so leaving the vehicle unattended may be risky.

Quiet, secluded place, good for sleeping, perhaps not so much for leaving the van during the day.
we nearly got robbed in the middle of the day when we got back at our camper.
Great for visiting Elvas; we did not sleep there.
Well-hidden parking area, therefore very quiet. Two minutes from an entrance into the old town. I spent one perfect night there.
Uneven dirt ground. Very quiet, without noise. Although we were alone, it felt reassuring to be behind a hospital. No facilities. Other cars were already parking there in the morning.
