A forest parking area near the Baraque de Chaalis, about 700m from the memorial stele for the March 1974 Ermenonville crash and close to Parc Astérix. Earlier visitors reported quiet nights and enough clearing for Starlink, but some rubbish was present. The road is closed, and camping in the forest is illegal; the gendarmerie has asked visitors to leave.

Excellent spot. Place called La Baraque de Chaalis. 700 m from the memorial stele for the Ermenonville crash in March 1974. Very quiet night.
This road is closed. Parking further down.
We spent a lovely quiet night here in the forest. Nice and close to Parc asterix. Sadly there is a bit of rubbish strewn around. Despite being in the forest still enpugh clearing for starlink.
