Unnamed Road, PA35 1HL, Kilmaha
Been here?
A free, isolated gravel parking area beside a quiet single-track road, with a flat and stable surface. Vegetation now partly obstructs the Loch Awe view, but the area remains calm and surrounded by greenery. There are no services, and midges may be present.

The view of the loch was blocked by vegetation, but the spot was perfect: flat, absolutely quiet, and stable enough not to get bogged down in bad weather. Of course, there were midges, but we spent the evening in the motorhome because of the rain anyway.
Remote parking area on gravel beside a little-used single-track road, which is in good condition. About 30 metres from the road, level. Surrounded by greenery, which still allows views of Loch Awe. Absolutely quiet and dark at night. Away from the tourist routes, we didn’t see another camper here. —Leave no trace except your footprints—
A wonderful secluded location. Vegetation partly obscures the Loch views, but the surroundings remain beautiful and there are excellent walks nearby. We enjoyed two quiet nights alone, with hardly any passing cars and no sign of logging activity. The ground is fairly level, and 4G reception is good.
Exceptionally peaceful and scenic, with superb views across Loch Awe. The access road is narrow, but our 7.2-metre motorhome managed it without trouble. Traffic is minimal, and there is a large level parking area. No services are provided, so take all rubbish away.
The road is extremely quiet. There is an idyllic view of the loch below and plenty of room for several vans, although I was the only visitor from late afternoon through the next morning. 4G works well, and there is a small fire pit. We slept wonderfully and woke to an outstanding view. I left shortly after 9 a.m. without being disturbed. There is no bin, so take your rubbish with you.
