Quiet parking, water tap only

We had a perfect time. Quiet, surrounded by nature, yet close to the village, where there is a small grocery shop if you need anything. I wish there were more places like this in the Madrid mountains. We are not giving it 5 stars because there is no grey-water dump—or at least we didn’t see one. We will return.

Really lovely here. You may stay for 72 hours. The tap is not suitable for filling a large tank, even with a water thief adapter.

Pleasant, level site with a fountain. We went on Friday night and Saturday, and it filled up with vans and motorhomes. Don’t arrive late. You can walk to Rascafría or Lozoya, and the Pinilla reservoir is also nearby.

Quiet, comfortable, level area in a lovely setting. The access route shown by Google Maps through the village is not recommended; it is better to go around the village and enter via the church.

I spent the weekend doing mountain-bike routes and the site is magnificent. Very quiet at night, on the outskirts of the village, with a grocery shop next to the town hall. My favorite place to spend the night in this valley.

5 stars for the parking area and the Pinilla town hall, and 0 stars for the amount of filthy people in the world. Please, if you stop here, keep everything clean, and if not… go somewhere else. I say this because of the amount of paper, etc. behind the wooden fence. Apparently people use it as a urinal and toilet, then leave the toilet paper lying around.

The best parking area in the region for spending the night. Water, rubbish bins, tables, level ground. On the shore of the reservoir and with a grocery shop nearby. Ideal for children and dogs.

Very good area for a peaceful night. It is a transit area, so there is quite a lot of activity in the mornings. There is a water fountain, but you cannot connect a hose. No swimming area, but it is good for hiking or sports on the local courts. Watch out for GPS: if it sends you through the center of the village, there is a sign prohibiting motorhomes; it is better to go around the outside.

Fantastic!!! Thanks to the town hall. Please respect the number of spaces provided, so there is plenty of room between vehicles. A path circles the entire reservoir, and the village has a lively atmosphere for youngsters.

The spaces are numbered and limited by the municipality, as clearly stated on a sign. They are large spaces, but there is one per vehicle. The town hall does not want more, and if we do not respect this, they will eventually ban it. If it is full, you can go to Lozoya or Rascafría, where there are many parking spaces. The whole area is very beautiful. Leave it cleaner than you found it. Thanks to the town hall.

Parking for about 15 motorhomes with drinking water and one picnic table; there are more tables a few minutes’ walk away. Quiet (a village without a bar!) and cool at night, ideal for routes around the reservoir. If there are no spaces, go to Lozoya, to the village parking area (no services), where there are more places and more activity.

Perfect place to spend a night if it is on your route. There is a covered table, bins and a fountain. Thanks to the municipality.

April 2025. As the other travelers have said, it is a quiet place in spectacular surroundings for walks in nature, on foot or by bike. The sign explains everything. I would add that if there is no space, go to Lozoya (5 km); there is a very large parking area there (no services) and more activity. Pinilla is very, very quiet.

Quiet place to spend the night. The village has several signs prohibiting motorhomes, making it a little complicated to reach the area; you have to go around it. There are very flat paths, ideal for cycling. Near the area there is a playground for children and a lake that freezes around the edges, where you can play with them by throwing stones.

Quiet, level site on the shore of the reservoir. Perfect for visiting the village. We spent several nights and there was no noise at all.
