Spacious, flat concrete skidding platform below the road, 80 m before the pass when climbing from La Motte. It is surrounded by forest, generally quiet, and offers a viewpoint over the Chambérien basin at 150 m; the altitude is 930m. The road is narrow and winding, with little traffic apart from some cyclists, so access is mainly suitable when heading into the mountains.

Great spot. Very spacious, flat, natural, surrounded by forests, quiet, with little traffic—mostly cyclists. And it smells wonderfully of pine wood!
We left the highway to sleep at this spot, but when we saw the road, all the bends, and so on, we turned around as soon as we could. Recommend this spot only if you want to go up into the mountains. Narrow road with no possibility of passing another vehicle or pulling over.
The quietest place of all the parking spots in the area. Perfect for a peaceful night.
Night in a compact van. Quiet place beside the road, with some traffic during the night. Very easy to access. The concrete slab is great for a van or compact vehicle.
Very convenient and more pleasant than the other nearby parking areas, because it is not beside the road but below the roadway, making it more secluded and secure. Clean and level, with a small opening in the foliage through which you can see the lights of Chambéry at night.
