Been here?
Canal-side parking beside the Scarpe, with a quiet setting, walkers and ducks. The towpath offers pleasant walks, but the opposite side faces a sand and gravel depot and a concrete plant. A sign reportedly prohibits stopping at this location.

I go there regularly... quiet place, walkers, waking up to the sound of ducks... peaceful location... please keep the place clean, thank you.
It is not possible to stop at this location. There is a “no stopping” sign. Avoid it.
A quiet night. If the view from one direction bothers you, there are plenty of campsites nearby—or simply stop grumbling about a free place.
We stopped for lunch on a Sunday; it was perfect and quiet that day. The place is not perfect, as there is the Scarpe on one side and a concrete factory on the other, but you just need to look in the right direction.
Very quiet place, perfect night. Beautiful view of the canal and its inhabitants—ducks, coots, etc. On the other side of the track, however, there is a direct view of a sand and gravel depot and a concrete plant. Let’s say it lacks poetry. Take this into account when positioning your vehicle.
Exceptionally quiet except for a few ducks. A beautiful waterside location with easy access.
Lovely quiet stay beside the canal with coots, ducks and water vole. You can walk along the towpath and there’s even a micro brewery although closed whilst we were here.
