64 Sommerbergstraße, 73349, Wiesensteig
Been here?
This is a small paved motorhome area in a quiet residential setting near Wiesensteig town center. The adjacent car park can also accommodate vehicles for 24 hours, although access becomes difficult when it is full and the site is best suited to vehicles up to about 6 m. Electricity is available from two outlets, and approximately 50 liters of drinking water costs 50 Cent. Recent reports found the site quiet, but black-water emptying was unavailable and waste disposal was reported defective.

We were quite happy with our stay, and visitors should also support the local businesses.Translating
Practically no space because it was filled with cars.Translating
Small camper stop with a large car park next door. For electricity, press button 1 or 2; for drinking water, press button 4. Approximately 50 litres for 50 cents. Beautiful village. We stayed overnight while passing through and filled up with water.Translating
Many thanks to the municipality for providing this motorhome pitch ‼️ I spent a peaceful night here!Translating
Arrived in the dark, so we didn’t realise there was a parking area next to the building where the grey-water drain was. Very quiet. The only issue was getting back onto the motorway, as it is uphill and there is NO warning that there is no run-up onto the motorway. Luckily, lorries were going slowly up the incline, but it was very scary when we realised there was no room to manoeuvre.Translating
Not much space but you can park for 24 hours in the carpark next door. We couldn't find a place to empty black water. The Lowen near the church was ok for a nice beer.
Quiet at night. The electricity pillars require a very long cable for at least one pitch. Unfortunately, it is not clear exactly how to position yourself—probably side by side in a line. If all the car spaces are occupied, access is somewhat tricky. Suitable for vehicles up to about 6 m maximum.Translating
This is a camper site in the small village of Wiesensteig. The village is a typical example of one that is dying out. Only the bakery is still open. There is a lock, but that building is also falling into disrepair. They do have a very beautiful church. The camper site is a bit strange. In reality, only 1 camper fits, but you can empty tanks and refill water. It is quiet.Translating
Everything you need is available! A large space for one motorhome; without cars next to the pillar, 3 motorhomes would be possible! We slept well, thank you to the municipality! Nice town!Translating
It isn’t nice there. It looks a little rough. I only saw one space, directly next to a building. We drove on.Translating
Waste disposal currently out of order.Translating
We did not stay overnight, but we used the services. Everything went very smoothly. There is a nice playground next door.Translating
We stayed there for one night. A peaceful night’s sleep, surrounded by green mountains. Thank you to the municipality.Translating
Very quiet place, with a playground right next door. Two spaces are side by side next to a garage, not suitable for 2 motorhomes, and possibly another space near the service station. Within walking distance of the centre. There is, among other things, a self-service shop open 7 days a week, 16 hours a day. You can pay only by debit card, credit card or membership card. Wonderful half-timbered buildings and beautiful scenery.Translating
The Greek restaurant in town is delicious.Translating
The site is as described, quiet and very interesting. I am giving 5 stars because there were no surprises compared with the description. We did not test the emptying and filling facilities. A quiet place, ideal for one night. The town is not particularly interesting.Translating
Very quiet place, with only one space indicated by a sign. I do not see where the “second” space is, as cars are parked all around. I did not use the water, only emptied the grey water. The only issue is that there are no shops, apart from a beer retailer and 2 garages.Translating
Unfortunately, no water comes out, but the money is taken. It no longer seems to be active. I rested for an hour around midday in the available shade. Good reception.Translating
Good place to empty tanks and sleep.Translating
Good service station, inexpensive. Two electricity outlets. The parking area near the service station is small, but there is a large one next to it, paid from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. Motorhome parking is free. Amazing space for children.Translating
Everything works and it is inexpensive.Translating
Our 6-metre motorhome fit. There was another panel van on site. Water and waste services were fine. Larger vehicles will have difficulty accessing the disposal area.
There is space for 1 camper, not 2 as stated. We stayed in the large car park next door, where you are allowed to stay for 24 hours. We asked around and were told this is commonly done. We had a quiet night. We did not use any facilities. In the morning, get some delicious fresh rolls from the bakery at Hauptstrasse 50.
As of today (25/04/2024), I filled the fresh-water tank (€0.50 + €0.50 = €1) and emptied the grey-water tank. I did not need to dispose of the black water. Everything worked correctly.
We only drove there to empty the black water and fill up with fresh water. Emptying worked perfectly, but as mentioned several times before, we did not get any water despite inserting money. The timer starts, but no water comes out. Status: March 2024.
Waste disposal is not possible. The water machine accepts the money and starts counting, but no water comes out. There was also no facility for urine disposal. We were only able to empty our grey water.
