Day parking, unsafe overnight

Excellent for daytime parking: spacious and tidy, and an aquarium is worth visiting. Be warned about staying overnight, however: strange groups were partying at 2 a.m. on Monday, and one person warned us that the area was unsafe. We left and slept near the castle instead.

We initially used the area nearer the main road, then moved here early after discovering preparations for Friday’s market all around us. A few youngsters played music and did some drifting in the evening, but it was neither excessive nor late. The local Friday market is interesting if you can visit.

A good overnight stop. The boy racers were at the opposite end and did not bother us. Town is easily reached on foot, but Friday market day makes the area busy from early morning.

Thanks to Thebyrnes for pointing out the right-hand side of the car park, near the red slides. The only place to avoid being in the middle of high-speed drifting by drivers who think they are F1 drivers, and nighttime meet-ups… At 11:30 p.m., it all stops. The park is pleasant during the day. For one night, it is an option.

Very large car park, though night-time boy racers are frequent. The excellent café operates from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. We chose the corner facing the aquarium, away from cars performing donuts nearby. More than 30 vehicles were showing off, but respected our space and departed around 11 p.m., allowing a peaceful night. Riverside dog walks are lovely.

As others have already written, a very large car park, a little noisy until 11 p.m. because of local youths. the surroundings are beautiful, everything green and well maintained. Perfect for an overnight stay with a dog. we were the only ones there at night in May.

Very large car park, in front of the aquarium entrance (the aquarium is not very interesting). Several buses dropped off children for the aquarium visit while we were there. No toilets or water point. Several playgrounds nearby, including one in the car park. Several cars enjoy driving fast in the adjacent car park, but nothing too disturbing. Quiet night.

A good free location near the aquarium with Wi-Fi. The racers remain active until midnight, after which the night becomes pleasantly quiet.

Indeed a large site directly by the river. The car rallies were annoying, but eventually stopped. Dog walk along the river in the morning, with a beautiful wooden bridge! Perfectly fine for one night!

Basically okay for one night. The surroundings are very beautiful. Unfortunately, boy racers drove around the car park until late at night, including doing burnouts.
