22 Strada Statale 346 del Passo di San Pellegrino, 38035, San Pellegrino
Been here?
A spacious, free and generally quiet parking area beside the San Pellegrino ski lift, with excellent mountain views and the lake only a short walk away. A nearby picnic area has a fountain, and the surrounding trails include the walk to Rifugio Fuciade. There are waste containers, a bar across the road, and the parking is fairly level. The site is at about 1900m, and local police may fine campers €150 for using wheel chocks.

Free and quiet parking area. There were about ten motorhomes. Stunning panorama.
Plenty of spots to park. We walked to the bar across the street for pizza and drinks.
Free parking for the ski lift, right behind the beautiful Lake San Pellegrino. An excellent place for off-grid camping and for reaching several trails in the area.
Very beautiful and spacious parking area. Quiet at night.
Very convenient and spacious free parking, with a wonderful view, immersed in nature. A beautiful little lake is just a short walk away, as is a picnic area with a fountain. The walk to the Fuciade refuge is beautiful. Recommended!
Free and quiet parking. Great panorama. Lake nearby. Easy family hike to the Fuciade refuge on foot or by bike. Recommended!
Wonderful view. Spacious and free parking.
We spent an afternoon and a night here at the beginning of October; one of the best spots for us in Italy. There were only three vans in this dream setting, with the lake just below and the autumn colours... incredible. Free and wonderfully quiet!
Free parking, amazing view. If you have a hose, you can also fill up with water from the tap :D We were there in mid-September, so there was plenty of space. I highly recommend it. Elevation is about 1,900 m.
We arrived late! Close to the road but generally quiet. A fox visited us late in the evening and made impressive cries... and perhaps there were a few stones being thrown early in the morning..? We thought they were pine cones, but in the end there was no tree above us!
Excellent place opposite the cable car; I also recommend the restaurant. The parking area is fairly level and quiet at night. During the day, the local police check whether any motorhomes have levelling blocks; if so, the fine is very expensive—€150.
A good parking area for spending one or two nights, with rubbish containers and a water fountain. At night you can hear the tinkling of cowbells. A spectacular and highly recommended place. Alexbamby is delighted.
We stayed two nights; it is an ideal base for hiking. Water is available at the fountain in the other parking area.
Spacious parking area. We stayed for three days and were very happy. There is a small wooden fountain in the nearby parking area for drinking water.
An ideal place, but it is better not to arrive during peak hours.
Parking opposite the Costabella cable car, on fairly level gravel. Busy during the day but very quiet at night. Free, with no services.
Great parking area at the foot of the mountains, with hiking trails nearby and a restaurant/bar right next door. The cable car is five minutes away and takes you to the summit; the bar up there is very pretty and the people are very friendly. A magnificent lake is a four-minute walk away, with sculptures.
Great! Busy during the day. Pleasantly quiet in the evening and at night.
Excellent free base for the hike to the Fuciade refuge; Lake San Pellegrino is a little farther down.
Large, level parking area near the Costabella Dolomiti Superski lifts and a 15 km cross-country ski track. In summer, there is a trekking/MTB route along the forest road toward Moena or Agordo. We ate at the SnowThrill restaurant-pizzeria: excellent Trentino food, deliciously prepared, fair prices and a very welcoming atmosphere. Recommended!
Large free parking area near the lake with an amazing view :)
Parking by the lifts of the San Pellegrino ski area. We did not notice any signs prohibiting parking during the day or night. The parking area is surfaced with gravel. During the thaw, the ground is muddy and gravelly; there are no amenities. Separate rubbish collection is available. Suitable for self-sufficient units. Toilets are open and accessible during lift operating hours. The parking area is at an altitude of 1,895 metres above sea level :)
More level than the other parking area near the lift. Around fifteen campers were there over the weekend.
Very large parking area near the road, excellent as a base for many hikes. Very beautiful panorama surrounded by mountains. We spent a very quiet night here, with little traffic during the night.
