Been here?
A sandy parking area behind the dune, close to the beach, restaurants, shops, and rubbish bins. It can become extremely crowded, with half the area sometimes unusable because of deep sand. Daytime activity includes many beachgoers and surfers, while nearby bars and occasional drunk visitors can cause loud disturbances after midnight. The site may also have potholes and limited manoeuvring space.

It was rammed when we went there on a Friday evening and half the car park had deep sand so unusable, would be a great location though if you could get parked
Perfect for settling down after a day in Lisbon. It is very busy this Monday evening. There are rubbish bins on site.
A pleasant and quiet place, with restaurants and shops nearby. Recommended.
Saturday night - locals came down drunk in the car park shouting and driving the cars around past 1.30am
Car park closed due to damage
A lot of pot holes out of the asphalt. We stayed only for a short stop and to walk the dog. The sunset is beautiful.
Very quiet night out of season. There were people during the day, with lots of surfers and walkers. The beach is nice, with bars/restaurants. It’s a shame that rubbish is scattered on the ground in front of the dune… the bins were full.
Fine sandy parking lot close the beach. Ended up leaving after one night due to drunk people stumbling around after the bar nearby. Wetsuit stolen. Beware of your belongings
We spent four days here during the August holiday weekend and the place is very good. Two minutes from the beach. If you need to leave the parking area, find a strategic spot so cars don’t block you in due to the lack of maneuvering space.
Pleasant spot on the sand with direct access to the beach. We spent two nights, one of which was a little noisy due to background music, but otherwise very good.
Ideal place to spend a few days, arriving late or early in the morning
The beach may be beautiful, but the place fills up with people and cars. The parking area is mixed sand and sloped. Better to continue beyond Lisbon or head south.
An excellent place to spend a few days. Close to the beach. You just have to arrive early in the morning or at night, as it is a car park and there are no spaces reserved for motorhomes.
We had a good night in this parking area. No services on the nearby beach. There were about 2 vans and 3 motorhomes with us. Very beautiful beach with a bar and restaurant.
At this time of year it is really impossible for a motorhome; cars park in such a way that you cannot maneuver. The beach is quite good and dogs are allowed. Several beach bars.
Very beautiful spot right by the dunes and a few meters from the beach. We felt safe at night. During the day, in good weather, many people go to the beach, so it is quite busy.
Best place I have stayed in Iberia. Gets super busy in the day but great for overnight
Stayed there overnight without any problems and felt safe.
Perfect location for going to the beach and eating at some of the beach bars, plus a magnificent sunset. We spent the night without any problems, only some music noise from the beach bars, along with other motorhomes and campers. The only bad thing is that in the morning it fills up with cars and it can be a little difficult to maneuver out.
Very good, very quiet for the night, but on weekends it is full. You have to arrive either very early or very late to get a spot.
We are in a heavy vehicle and there are plenty of spaces. We stayed 4 nights, in peace and quiet. To visit Lisbon, go to the port of Trafaria (3 km away) and take the boat; in 20 minutes you arrive at the port of Belém (€1.45 one way).
Stayed two nights, surfing, great.
Great beach, no problems with the police, but not very large.
Very busy during the day, making it somewhat difficult to turn around (dead end). Note: it is better not to drive up at the end of the parking area, as the sand there is very soft and you could get stuck.
Not really a beautiful place, but practically right on the beach! Suitable for one night or if you want to be close to the beach for surfing. Four of us stayed here overnight!
