A large layby near the main road, used for quick stops or overnight parking. Recent conditions were reported as very muddy, full of rubbish and potentially unsafe, with a risk of vehicles becoming stuck. A food van may visit, and access gates into the farm fields must be kept clear.

We didn't stay because it was full of rubbish and very muddy, van would've gotten stuck. Didn't look like a peaceful place at all and didn't feel safe
Perfect for one overnight stay on the way north.
As already described—excellent, right next to the A1 (M) on the way north. Perfect, quiet, short overnight stop in the countryside (rabbits). We felt very safe. Even though there is a lot of rubbish lying around here, please take your own rubbish with you. You could barely hear the road. Thanks for the great tip!
We just stopped off here for a rest, rather a lot of noise from the road but if we had have slept here it wouldnt have bother us too much. Great place to stop for a cuppa and a nap.
ok for an overnight. Very close to the A1 so there's road noise. Lots of litter so not the most attractive place to stay. We prefer the car parks in Ripon as you're handy for the shops & restaurants plus it's only a few pounds.
Stayed here on July 22 2024. Just a large lot, 1 other camper here. Nice and quiet. There are a couple service stations up the road, and they have facilities to dump grey/black water, and sell LP gas.
