Unnamed Road, 3932, Erdőbénye
Been here?
A spacious picnic place in a forested nature reserve, with benches, a fire pit, shade and silence around it. Recent information says camping is prohibited, so the site should be used for picnics rather than overnight stays. It is accessible to all vehicles, although the ground can become muddy after rain and some areas are uneven.

The site is in a nature reserve. A sign says that camping is prohibited. We spoke to a local woman who passed by. She also said that staying overnight here could be problematic. Please use the site for picnics and NOT for overnight stays. We drove on.
Fantastic place next to ancient oak trees. Perfect for birdwatching. In the evening, a shepherd passed by with his flock. A very idyllic, secluded place where at night you only hear the crickets chirping.
Great place. Lots of shaded spaces. Easy access and flat. Very little traffic at night, and you can park quite far from the road.
The view is excellent. There are several possibilities for finding a spot. Lots of day visitors during the day.
Very pleasant and quiet. Plenty of shaded spaces. Accessible for all vehicles.
Very muddy ground on May 17, 2024, after a day of rain. Nevertheless, this parking area seems to be the best in Tokaj and the surrounding area. We are at the end of our trip, having crossed all of Hungary from Slovenia, and are heading back down from Tokaj to Szeged.
The place is very beautiful and quiet. It is difficult to find a truly level spot, though. You have to stay in the “parking area” below. I did not see any prohibition sign, but a forest ranger came to tell me that parking near the campfires was forbidden. Obviously, you hear much more road noise below, but it is still a nice place.
