Mountain parking, overnight restrictions

The Col de l’Izoard has beautiful mountain scenery, but the parking arrangements have been changed. Overnight stays are now authorized only at the Furfande departure parking area or the campsite, so this location may no longer be suitable for motorhomes. The area has no shade and can be windy, with heavy motorcycle noise during the day and road traffic from about 7:00.

Terrible, far too hot, no shade at all, uneven, windy and lots of flies. We left.
Extraordinary peaceful night. Magnificent scenery. On the other hand, unbearable noise during the day from motorcyclists who think they are alone and, for some of them, use the road as a racetrack.
Very beautiful view. On 23/07/25, we were alone and had a very good night. Traffic starts again at 7:00 a.m. Woke up to 6-degree temperatures. Perfect.
The parking areas have been modified to remind overnight vehicles that they are only authorised in the starting car park at Furfande or at the campsite.
Stopped overnight on the 5th October. The site has been redeveloped but there is still room to park.
The pass has been redeveloped: motorhomes can no longer park there, it is very difficult for panel vans, and still possible for vans. What a waste!!!
Large parking area, beautiful view, but no network.
The pass has been redeveloped. It is no longer possible to park or spend the night there with a motorhome. A shame—we previously spent a wonderful night here.
We were there around 7 June, slept really well, it wasn't hot, fantastic! Longboarders in the evening and morning, but very respectful! Brilliant.
Major car park renovation, no parking for us for a while. The old spot lower down and round is covered with spoil earth from the works.
Parking slightly set back from the road, splendid view! (Be careful, it was closed due to construction at the beginning of June 2022.)
