Monsaraz, M 514 road., 7200-175
Been here?
This free motorhome parking area is a quiet, mostly level place among trees, with excellent views over Alqueva lake and the surrounding landscape. The historic village is within walking distance. There are no facilities except a bin, and water and waste services are in the next village. Some spaces are uneven or sloping, so wedges may be needed, and the nearby open ground can become boggy after rain.

Excellent for a quiet night and visiting this splendid village. Remember to use leveling blocks. I recommend it.
Superb place with a top-notch view. Almost level, with some trees. Perfect for visiting the village and spending the night. Quiet.
Almost level site, easy access to Monsaraz and very clean, with trees and shade.
AC 6.5 metres. The parking spaces are a little sloped, with trees whose branches are very low, and ant colonies everywhere. Perfect overnight stay. The village is worth it despite the inconveniences.
Great place! Very close to Monsaraz. Fantastic view and very quiet.
Great spot for visiting the village. We had a quiet night.
Unexpectedly quiet night! We thought it would be noisier because of the location right by the road. Short walk into town. Trees provide nice shade, so the view was not quite as good. Still, everything was great!
Very well situated aire. Very quiet night.
A wonderful place to park and spend a night. Magnificent views and next to a nice town. Don't miss the sunrise!
One of our favourite spots of the trip. Spectacular views across the lakes and into Spain. No facilities except a bin and quite busy even in the off season (we arrived around sunset and got the last spot). You can walk up to the local castle town which is beautiful. Coaches arrive at the viewpoint in the morning so it's perfect to check out the view at night / in the morning before they arrive!
A beautiful, quiet spot within walking distance of the old village. Unfortunately, the garbage collection came at 6 a.m. For filling and emptying, you have to go down into the village.
We stayed one night and it was great. Beautiful views and the village is accessible on foot. The service areas are a little farther on, in the next small village, which is very convenient.
The most beautiful place. Fantastic view. Lovely castle town. Wine bar with a view. Ervideira Wine Shop Monsaraz. Highly recommended. Plenty of space in the camper parking area in the pre-season.
Magnificent panorama over the lakes and right next to the town. Very quiet night. Thank you to the town.
Magnificent view (sunrise over the lake), a five-minute walk from the centre of Monsaraz. Well shaded, although some low trees may make parking difficult. A few picnic tables. Clean public toilets available next to the ATM in a side street by the main church. Start of the PR1 hike, an easy 10 km but without shade around Monsaraz. Thank you to the municipality!
Beautiful, peaceful site at the foot of the town. No services. Easy walk into town and some lovely walks/bike rides nearby.
A great daytime or overnight park up for motorhomes. A large cobbled area, with some trees, but space for at least 20 vans, it can accommodate large vans as well. No services. Nestled at the bottom of Monsaraz old town. Great for visiting the castle and old town, with lovely walks and cycle rides in the area too Thank you to the town of Monsaraz for providing this little gem.
Pleasant site, no services, uneven ground. Parking is impossible in many places because of the tree branches. Beautiful view.
Very good for visiting Monsaraz. Although it is not very level.
A little uneven, but ideal for seeing this beautiful village.
Parking at the bottom of the village. Very quiet. During the day you can drive down to the river beach with the motorhome and spend the day there. The village is a marvel and well worth visiting.
Beautiful place to stay, no services, but they are available in a nearby village. Truly a sight to see, with magnificent views and friendly people. The camper/parking area is fine, although somewhat sloping in places.
A charming and very quiet place. The village is wonderful too. I do not give it five stars because there is no place to empty or fill water. As the description says, it is in a nearby village several kilometres away, and it is not easy to find. If you do not urgently need to change water, it is ideal for stopping as long as you need.
Great place to stay, as only a short walk to the village. As described a place to park and sleep, not much else except for rubbish bins. Great views. Is it worth 5 stars, I think so, as its described exactly what it is, a quiet place to park and visit the area. We had a great sleep.
Superb parking area below the castle, no services but very peaceful. Remember to fill up with fuel in Spain.
Very quiet for one night.
Very quiet parking in a storybook village.
Thank you! Beautiful and convenient parking area, also with children's play equipment. The village is magnificent.
We spent a very pleasant night.
