9001F Chemin des Claps, 06620, Gourdon
Been here?
Large flat wild spot with panoramic Mediterranean views toward Antibes and Cannes, offering multiple parking areas and excellent walking trails. Lavender scent adds to the appeal. Overnight stays are generally quiet and peaceful during weekdays, though summer weekends can see evening traffic and visitors with music. Mobile phone reception is poor. Nearby paragliding takeoff available.

We spent one night here and were very satisfied. The site is really spacious, so even though we were not alone that night, everyone had privacy and it was not a problem at all. It was completely quiet at night and in the morning we were greeted by a beautiful view of the surroundings. I definitely recommend it!Translating
Very quiet place with an unbeatable view of the coast. We were two vans and there is plenty of space. A few hikers passed by, but very rarely. We were here during the week in early June. It may fill up on weekends.Translating
Magnificent place for several vehicles, superb view, and extremely peaceful.Translating
Superb, thank you. Perfect for our 7-meter vehicle!Translating
Beautiful views, quite and lots of hikes from here. also close to the paragliding take off, pretty much leveled but not good reception
Magnificent view and relatively clean place. It must get really full in summer, as there are many remains of fires.Translating
Very, very beautiful spot, but... Park in the woods between the two large parking areas for more privacy. Avoid the radar parking area. On a Saturday evening at the end of summer, it is a bit chaotic: music, tents, lots of cars going up and down, but it is true that everyone has the right to enjoy it in their own way. From 10:30 p.m. onward it gets a little quieter. Still worth trying.Translating
Very quiet; there were three vehicles and plenty of space! A very pleasant night and a superb sunrise!Translating
We slept here and it was amazing! Very peaceful and beautiful views at sunrise. The smell of lavender is incredible. It is well worth stopping to visit Gourdon.Translating
Good spot, spent the night here on our way to somewhere else. Lots of room and pretty peaceful but a few passers in cars that came with music on in the evening.
Quiet and pretty view... several choices of pitches.Translating
If you are a heavy sleeper, it's 5/5, otherwise I would avoid it in high season due to traffic and locals coming to party or stargaze.
Excellent place with a very beautiful view over the Gulf of Nice. Lots of space for vans and motorhomes. Often sloping pitches. A forest ranger arrived, greeted us cordially, and left.Translating
Good spot. Quiet, unless Italians arrive at midnight... It is possible to find a level place.Translating
Pitches with a view but no shade and not very level on one side of the road; others without a view but under trees and level on the other side. One van and one motorhome on the view side. Very quiet. A lovely plateau. However, there was a lot of toilet paper; I collected a full bag. Please do not leave your paper lying around!Translating
Magnificent view, peaceful. Many pitches available; we were four motorhomes with plenty of space.Translating
A magnificent view, peaceful. However, be careful because of the fire risk; the forest rangers are very strict about cigarettes, barbecues, and so on.Translating
Wonderful place! Sometimes above the clouds, sometimes with a view of the city and the sea. I spent three nights here! The friendly rangers came twice to warn us about the risk of forest fires. No internet or mobile phone service! About 550 meters farther along the road to the next spot, 4G works.Translating
A truly magnificent view. There were several of us, which is to be expected in a place like this. But you can clearly hear the road nearby, and some vans show no consideration, arriving at 1 a.m. and driving back and forth over the gravel. That is a shame.Translating
Easy to access with a motorhome. Very beautiful view and perfect for staying one or two nights. Be careful with dogs: a flock of sheep sometimes passes by and the dogs are protective, so keep your dog in the camper while the sheep pass.Translating
Incredible place to sleep, in nature with views of the sea, Nice, and Antibes. Quite a few people on the grounds, but there was not much noise. Possible with a small motorhome or van! The access road is quite narrow for two cars traveling in opposite directions, especially with a large vehicle. Please help keep this place spotless and pick up your litter ☀️Translating
Great place in the middle of nature, with a beautiful view. Large area. We were there in a motorhome with our young children. Other vans were present, but the space is so large that we were not on top of one another.Translating
A beautiful view and complete tranquility throughout the night. We arrived late and still found a place. People are friendly and it is very accessible.Translating
I have just spent two nights here. Superb view, with a magnificent sunrise on both mornings. Quite a lot of space; arriving early, I was able to choose my pitch. Two other vehicles arrived to spend the night. Very quiet nights. Birds of prey, paragliders, the sea in the distance, and plenty of walking nearby. I highly recommend it. SFR 4G with no problem.
Great spot! In the mountains without being too isolated. Quite a lot of space for the area, with a few level pitches. In late April, there were a few vans and one somewhat noisy group, but that is part of the deal at a spot like this. Otherwise, very peaceful upon waking, a nice view, and even a few paragliders launching nearby :)
Easy access, absolute peace and quiet, and an unbeatable view!
We spent a very peaceful night here with a superb view! We were one van and two panel vans. The site is spotless... many hikes are possible, and the village of Gourdon nearby is worth visiting!
Magnificent spot! Very quiet at this time of year. Great view in the middle of nature.
