Lac Saint Georges

Camping du Lac? No... just a simple pond, lost in the middle of nowhere, with a narrow space surrounded by shrubs. Showers shared with slugs and spider webs, very, very rustic, all for €35.58 per night for two people and a dog. That is theft. RUN AWAY.✦Translating

We were the only ones there and had a choice of pitches. It was the end of the season and it was a little unkempt. Our pitch was very near to the lake and we were woken by a couple of people loudly fishing, so the pitch we chose wasn’t the best for us. Showers were very clean but old and not brilliant. Friendly welcome on arrival.

We only stayed for one night and had the field for our motorhome to ourselves. Excellent pool. Sanitary facilities OK. Very welcoming hosts.

A place in nature, for reconnecting and recharging, peaceful and wooded. A little paradise well hidden in the middle of the countryside. Elisabeth welcomed us very warmly; she is a woman full of love and generosity for “this Oasis.” We were in a van with our two dogs under the trees, with farm animals belonging to the campsite as our view. I recommend it.✦Translating

Nice little campsite. I am currently the only guest. €16.22 for a motorhome, one person, with electricity. I am allowed to use the shower and toilet in one of the holiday cottages. And best of all, the hostess asked whether I wanted something to eat and is cooking especially for me.✦Translating

Really nice, quiet, family-friendly place with lots of games for children and farm animals—€30 for two adults and a one-year-old baby.✦Translating
