A true gem in the west Pyrenees. A no-nonsense family camping which simply has it all: a beautiful small river with a rocky beach and deep enough to plunge in, clean facilities, spacy shaded spots, supermarket next door, friendly staff, cheap, and a nice Bask village in walking distance. We planned 1 night and stayed 3 nights.

Lovely grassy, shady campsite close to the river. It is possible to swim in the river. Pitches are flat and it has very easy access to the Intermarché supermarket. There is a laundromat in the supermarket carpark which was very handy. An easy walk into the lovely, picturesque village with coffee shops, restaurants and a tourist information centre. We stayed an extra night!

Originally we planned to spend three nights in Saint-Jean-Pied-de-Port, but finally chose two nights at this campsite and only one in SJPP. We did not regret our choice because there were fewer people and more space here, and it is only 10 km from SJPP.✦Translating

A two-star campsite, but very good: clean and quiet, with a river running through it and a supermarket 30 meters away with a laundromat. Dogs accepted. Swimming pool open in high season with three outdoor pools outside the campsite, costing €2.50 per adult and €1.60 per child. You can empty and fill up at the top without paying for a night at the campsite, but a €2 service fee is requested.✦Translating

When we arrived, they asked whether we had a reservation. We said no. After serving two people ahead of us, they told us they were full. When asked which of the following days had availability, they said there would not be any. Very strange treatment.✦Translating

Nothing but happiness at this little campsite: excellent welcome, services including fresh and tasty bread every morning and a cheese producer on Fridays, cleanliness, pitches beside the stream, family atmosphere, hiking routes such as the GR10, and very affordable rates with electricity compared with the nearby village. Large pitches, clean sanitary facilities, very friendly manager and a good location relative to the hiking trails. Bonus: there is even a small beach for swimming in the river alongside the campsite. However, there is a current.

A campsite just the way we like them. The sanitary facilities are clean, the pitches are very spacious, surrounded by greenery and magnificent trees. If we have the opportunity to come to the area, we will return.
