This simple gravel parking area below the school hostel is a quiet base for hiking and cycling, with direct forest access and the water about 200 m away. The approach is via a gravel road and can be narrow in summer when the trees are full. There are no services apart from a covered table and rubbish bin, while a bakery is about 300 m away.

Access via a gravel road, which is narrow in summer because the trees are in full leaf. The spot itself seems to be used by someone to store old and future building materials. The night was very quiet and the village is quickly reachable. Bakery about 300 meters away.
Beautiful, green-surrounded gravel parking area. There is some building material lying around, but it did not bother us. Good satellite and mobile reception. Direct access to the forest and about 200 meters to the water.
Simple parking area above the Saale. Good starting point for hikes. Excellent ice cream café in the village, right on the banks of the Saale.
The parking area is usable; it is a little more secluded and quieter than the lower one by the Saale, which you can see directly when turning right after the bridge. No services except a covered table and a rubbish bin. Starting point for hikes or bike tours.
The place looks good in itself, but construction is currently taking place, so parking is not possible here.

Cross the bridge, then turn right and continue to the garages, about 200 meters. Beautiful location directly on the Saale, level ground, snack bar on the other side of the road. We spent a quiet night here.
