63-65 Strand Street, CT13 9HN, St Mary's Sandwich
Been here?
This is an enclosed, clean and generally level public car park beside cricket meadows and a nature reserve, suitable for vans but not caravans, coaches or lorries. Parking is free from 6pm to 8am; one recent stay was charged £2.20 for an extra hour through the Ring n go app. It is quiet overnight, although cricket can create daytime noise, and there are two small garbage cans but no other facilities. Sandwich centre, pubs and cafes are a short walk away.

Quiet parking lot for spending the night. Quickly reach the town center on foot.Translating
Perfect parking spot before or after the ferry; we had a very quiet night.

Quiet parking lot at night, generally level, free from 6 p.m. to 8 a.m. Cricket players may make some noise nearby, but it stops once night falls. A car parked in a private space at the entrance to the parking lot set off its alarm whenever a car passed, but this was not a problem at night because there was no traffic. Very good for a small van.

Quiet place. About half full on Sunday evening. Fine restaurants with very friendly service in the charming town.Translating
Actually a very nice place; we also had a quiet night and would have liked to stay longer. Unfortunately, it is not possible to extend the parking time, so we left very early in the morning. What a shame—this means we cannot spend any money in Sandwich.Translating
A nice quiet(ish) free overnight stop, 6pm to 8am. It is a Car Park so expect some coming and goings. No dramas packing our Motorhome there. No facilities. BEWARE THE SANDWICH MOSQUITOS.
Passing through on the way back from the ferry (25 minutes away), very convenient parking, quiet, free at night, no services, bins. We arrived at 7 p.m. and paid £9.60 for the following day's daytime parking, which allowed us to visit Sandwich, with its lovely medieval houses. Visit the White Mill Rural Heritage Centre 500 meters away, a mill renovated by volunteers from an association; free entry and very interesting.
