Harbour parking, overnight impossible

Definitely worth spending a night here, simply for the view and the pubs/restaurants. If walking is your thing, try a ferry trip to Inishbofin; €25 return.✦Translating

Beautiful place, with a few restaurants at the nearby harbour, less than a five-minute walk away. The car park is mostly very steep, but it can largely be levelled with suitable chocks. Twenty-four hours costs €5, and card payment is possible. Really excellent, with a great view.✦Translating

Large asphalt car park at the entrance to Gleggan. The car park is sloping, so levelling the van is recommended. The car park is paid during the day, but the rate is very reasonable. The place is relatively quiet despite being close to the road.✦Translating

We woke up to the most fantastic view of the harbour and nearby beach. Very quiet. We needed chocks for levelling. We used the toilets in the nearby Oliver’s bar, which opens early for breakfast.✦Translating

Great car park, €5 for 24 hours. There is quite a slope on all spaces; you just need to work out which one gives you the best view and use chocks accordingly. Very quiet. Oliver’s pub is great, with food that looked good, and there is good fish, calamari, chips, and more next door at Little Fish. A pleasant 20-minute walk to the beach.✦Translating

At 10 p.m. we had to leave because of a homeless person sleeping behind the brown shed, with a mattress on the ground and a bottle of wine in hand. When you enter, on the right, there was rubbish on the ground. Anyway, we left.✦Translating
