Fehér Holló utca, 8096, Sukoró
Been here?
This is a very large open grassy area directly beside Lake Velence, with little shade and hot conditions in summer. It is used by fishermen and kite-surfers, offers lake access and makes a good cycling base, but there are no services. Mosquitoes can be numerous, and slight highway noise may be audible. Access from Sukoró via Fehér Holló utca is restricted to residents; use the route through Velence instead.

WARNING: to access this place, do not come from the village of Sukoro! Fehér Holló utca is forbidden to non-residents. I took a photo of the sign but cannot add it to the site. To access this place, go to the entrance of Velence and return via Evezős út, which runs parallel to the motorway.
We spent one night here with a rooftop tent, and several other campers were also there. The civil guard (Polgárőrség), which is actually responsible for this kind of thing, drove by once but did nothing apart from greeting us. It seems to be accepted that you can stay here self-sufficiently. The motorway is 900 m away as the crow flies; when the wind is unfavourable, you can hear it.
We spent a quiet night here in April. There were also a few locals, including some with caravans. You must be self-sufficient. Great for cycling too.
Wonderful and quiet place. We spent one night alone on the shore. in the morning, we could see people walking with the dogs.
Very large green area with direct access to the lake. The lake is frequented by fishermen, stand-up peddlers, and the occasional swimmer. We found the water very green. Except from a little highway noise it was an extremely calm place to spend a few days. At night there are some/many harmless little flies/mosquitoes (not stinging, just annoying if you have lights on).
Enough space for many campers, but unfortunately extremely many mosquitoes, even during the day.
It was very pleasant and idyllic, and very quiet in my opinion, although anglers arrived quite early by car, from around 5 a.m.
In March, a bare, empty, deserted place—bleak and soggy. The toilet building, which was vandalised some time ago, adds to the atmosphere. We left immediately in the morning.
Very nice place with a large open area. Possibility of parking on the grass. A few fishermen and dog walkers, but little traffic during this winter month.
Lovely place! We stayed there for two nights without any problems. It was a little windy, so there were many water sports enthusiasts on the lake: surfers, kitesurfers and sailors. Great fun!
Very nice place by the lake, but in midsummer there are extremely many mosquitoes in the evening and at night.
Good for a night, but no services. The lake is beautiful.
Nice place. Water, sun, shade! Ideal for dogs to swim! Quiet night.
Great, quiet spot with a few locals.
Very nice and calm place. Level ground, easy access to Lake Velence, no disturbance. Lots of friendly people come with SUPs, dogs and canoes. Very cool place to spend a night or two and swim in the lake
