Been here?
This free parking area is at the Pantalica Nature Park Center, offering a peaceful overnight stay when authorized by the park rangers. The rangers may leave the toilets and lights open, and non-potable water is available from irrigation hoses. The entrance gate is closed between 5:00 PM and 7:00 AM but is not locked. A free shuttle serves the reserve, but pets are not allowed.

I confirm the friendliness and the facilities that allow you to stay overnight peacefully. Water is available through irrigation hoses, but it is NOT POTABLE. Very decent toilets. My thanks for the way the facilities are managed! Cheers!
The park staff are extremely friendly and welcoming... worth five stars! Toilets, shaded spaces, and one dog and one cat to feed. The free shuttle system is excellent! We stayed for two nights. Thanks again for the welcome!
We were warmly welcomed by the information-center staff, who told us we were welcome to stay overnight, and they even kept the toilets open for us. It was a quiet, pleasant night—we can only recommend it.
A wonderful, peaceful place with very relaxed and friendly park staff. Many thanks for allowing us to stay overnight. The hike through the gorge was strenuous but fantastic! Thank you.
A quiet, pleasant stay! The rangers are exceptionally friendly. Overnight stays are no problem, and all this luxury is free! The gorge, including all the caves, tombs, and so on, is absolutely worth seeing. However, you have to walk several kilometers to the shuttle bus; it is better to cycle.
Large car park with toilets and non-potable water available at the Pantalica information center. A free shuttle takes you into the reserve to point 1, 2, or 3. This reserve is really worth visiting, with landscapes, necropolises, and rock churches to suit every taste.
We stayed for two nights. Drive farther along the road with the motorhome to the park entrance. At the end of February there was plenty of room to turn around. Then walk into the park and choose either the easy route, mainly along the road, or the difficult hike after Ferrato 2. Some points are easier to reach from the road. A shuttle bus also runs in February; call them and they will pick you up for free. The park is free.
Parking looks good and calm for an overnight stay, toilets are okay and it has bins ! however, pets are not allowed, we moved on unfortunately
I drove past here on January 4, 2026. Apparently, you can stay overnight here. I did not stay.
Wonderful place where you can officially stay overnight after consulting with park rangers. In november, the office is open between 7 am and 5 pm & they are happy to leave lights on & toilets open at night. Fresh water not potable. WiFi with poor download but excellent upload speeds, good 5G available. Wonderfully quiet & peaceful, perfect for hiking in nearby gorge and visiting necropolis.
Very, very quiet car park. The access with a motorhome and trailer is really tight via the small two-way road. We left via the village of Ferla, and the tiny downhill streets with right-angle turns made me sweat a lot. No problem in a van, but much more difficult with a trailer.
The car park is open, despite what the app says. Ideal place after visiting Pantalica. The gate is closed in the evening but has no padlock, so you can open it if you arrive late.
Natural parking area at the Pantalica information point, with non-potable water, bins, and toilets. The entrance to Pantalica is about 2 km away. There is little space along the road. A free shuttle with three stops reduces the amount of walking. For the northern necropolis, go to stop 3.
The place is perfect and everything is well described. From Ferla, do not follow Google; it makes a huge mess of the route.
It is permitted to sleep here at night. There are toilets, bins, and water, which is not potable. A fine spot, and we had a peaceful night.
Very nice place. We came here after our hike through the gorge and were completely alone. The shuttle from the entrance works perfectly.
It is no longer possible to sleep in the park.
In December the entrance is closed. I had to change my plans!
Really pleasant car park. No problem leaving the vehicle to go for a short hike. Overnight stays are allowed without any problem. The gate closes around 5:30 p.m. and reopens at 7 a.m., but it is not locked. There is a surveillance camera, toilets with a sink available 24/7, and bins. If you enjoy walking, this is the place for you.
Super great place! Camera-monitored, lit, and clean. Toilet available and clean. Thank you to the nature park! I was there on December 22–23 and hiked for a day and a half. Fantastic nature. The rangers speak hardly any English; the information was more amusing than helpful, but they were very nice and helpful and offer shuttles. The scale on the hiking map is not useful, and not all the signs in the park are shown—an adventure :))
