24 Rue du Débarcadère, 2024, Saint-Aubin-Sauges
Been here?
Free public port-side parking area in Saint-Aubin-Sauges with clean toilets, showers, picnic tables and lake views, popular with campers stopping over. Paid parking applies 7am-8pm year-round (about 1 CHF/hour), free overnight, but overnight motorhome parking on the public lot is officially banned by municipal decree, even though many travellers do stay undisturbed. A small dedicated CC area nearby costs around 20 CHF/day but is often invaded by boats. Can get lively and noisy on summer evenings near the restaurant and beach; quieter off-season.

Great, very pleasant spot, very clean, with sanitary facilities available. View of the port and beach.
Excellent stop for taking a shower and using the sanitary facilities. Picnic table available. Overnight parking is forbidden; you must use the designated parking area behind it.
We spent the night here (June 2023) in the paid parking area, from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m., rather than in the motorhome parking area. This morning, a police officer told us that sleeping in the parking areas throughout the municipality of Saint-Aubin-de-Sauges was forbidden. Even though there are no signs prohibiting vans and others from staying overnight, it is forbidden by a municipal police order.
Stayed in the carpark for one night with no issues and a lovely walk along the front in the morning.
Very quiet night, public toilets very close by, perfect.
Pleasant place to spend the evening and night. We used the port's sanitary facilities and services free of charge.
Clean and well-maintained surroundings. We stayed there from Saturday to Sunday. The only disturbance was guests and partygoers coming and going. I dutifully fed the parking meter in the evening so we could stay without problems until 9 a.m. I was able to pay 2 Swiss francs by credit card.
