Blacksod
Been here?
Quiet gravel parking area at the end of the Belmullet peninsula, overlooking a small harbour. The site is flat and spacious enough for several campers, but naturally very exposed to strong wind. Boat trips and a food truck were not operating when recently visited.

Very quiet we were the only camper. Naturally very windy. Didn’t do or see any boat trips operating or food truck. Must have stopped these now.
did not stop here but lovely flat spot. very windy. no one was parked up. when i arrived arround 6 pm
had one night here. very windy. but manageable went mackerel fishing off the end and managed our lunch for tomorrow. 1 portaloo right on the end of the pier. everyone seemed friendly enough..
perfect quiet spot except for the wind
Lovely welcoming spot, space for maybe 6 campers off the road stopping on the road or pier no problem. Plenty to do Lighthouse tour boat trips. Great Food van on a Sunday.
Campervan friendly nice flat spot. There's local people and tourists all day but is quiet during the night. There's two taps of fresh water but they are in a quite narrow space. It's possible to be a bother taking water while local fisherman are working. We saw many dolphins fishing on the bay late in the evening, just before night's falling.
Very nice place to stay. We found it camper-friendly. We were allowed to fill our water tank on the pier; it is potable. Highly recommended.Translating
stayed one night on the roadside opposite lighthouse. there is a gravel area behind the lighthouse tours pod but apparently overnight stays are not encouraged. I had a quiet stay. room on the roadside for three vans.
A gravel site with views of the harbour & Una’s bar 5 mins walk away. Still no sign of any toilets.
A nice gravel site with views of the harbour and bay. There were three campers here tonight. We had a peaceful night. There is a water tap on the harbour but no sign of any toilets - perhaps there are portable toilets in high season.
Stayed at this brilliant site last summer. Tuck shop, Drinking water, toilets and waste bins are all available nearby. Lots of activities in the area including tours of famous Blacksod Lighthouse and trips to the Inishkea Islands Highly recommended!
