73 Via al Lago, 32046, San Vito di Cadore
Been here?
These three car parks offer a quiet, scenic location near a small lake, with a picnic area, barbecue facilities, and a restaurant nearby. All spaces are now marked with blue lines and require payment; the machine accepts only coins, with a charge of 25 euro stated. It is a normal car park rather than a dedicated motorhome area, and camping behaviour is discouraged.

There is no more free parking. Only blue lines. The automatic machine accepts only coins to pay €25!!!! But the place is excellent for the view and tranquility.
We stayed 1N. Confusion for us re payment as we were expecting to pay as it's summer. Only one payment machine next to the middle car park at the small brick building. No info re times/cost. We paid €6 to get from 4pm to 6am. I think we were the only ones who paid! All car parks now blue lines. No obvious checks. Lovely views and lake. Quiet overnight.
Beautiful place with a great view. The season starts on June 15; today it was free. After that, you have to use the usual apps to pay for the parking space. All parking spaces marked with blue lines are paid in Italy! The police occasionally patrol, so it is advisable not to behave as if camping—no chairs outside, step ladders, etc. We had a very peaceful night :)
A beautiful parking place with everything you need: peace, beautiful nature for walks, and we even found fresh water.
The scenery is spectacular. The parking area is quiet but not really dedicated to motorhomes. We also did not find the toilets, not even on ToiletFinder. The carabinieri came by in the morning but said nothing. The restaurant reopens in early June.
In the off-season, there is a great place for a barbecue, a whole parking lot empty near a stream of water:)
spent 2 calm nights here in a transit van along with couple of smaller vehicles. large campers cannot access at this time because of road works. diversion is through some narrow roads and sharp turns, and signs forbidding trucks and campers. all the parkings are now with blue lines, but the machine is covered with paper that says "free parking" at the moment
Very convenient and safe parking area where you can stay overnight, close to the center. Since it is just a parking area, there is no possibility of connecting to electricity, but a water fountain and a picnic area with barbecue kiosks are a short walk away. I recommend paying with EasyPark so you can easily extend your stay if necessary, since inspections take place several times a day.
Ideal for sleeping one or several nights; from 10 p.m. until 9 a.m. you don't pay. The place is beautiful, with a small lake and a restaurant that opens from noon.
Since 2025, everything is paid, both above and below. €15 until midnight; it is unclear whether you also have to pay during the night or not. Very beautiful place, still worth stopping at!
No longer current. It is a normal paid parking area. The area is nevertheless very nice.
Great place for one night. Would recommend! There is a BBQ place next to the parking and a restaurant with a lake behind it.
Awesome place for a free night. Beautiful view of the mountains in the back and the lake in front. Our dogs loved to take a much needed swim.
We slept there for one quiet night, with no noise.
Nice place to stop overnight! You can park in between the blue lines, toilet was not found. There is a restaurant at the lake, we had a drink there, bit of an interesting vibe from the men working there. Otherwise we had a very peaceful night, almost no cars passing after 10pm. In the morning locals come to play in the playground. Fresh water tap in the playground, absolutely stunning views!
We spent a week in September. Very quiet. There were local people. Water point. Barbecues. Very beautiful.
We spent several days in the upper parking area in September 2024. Very good. Two water points—look carefully. No problem. The place is used by local residents. Respect is mandatory. Barbecues and tables are available depending on the weather.
Camped here in September. For free. It was just us & 2 other camper vans. No toilets found, no bored Grany to check on us. Everything was very peaceful.
Free but packed, with vans parked right next to motorhomes and making a door-slamming concert at 6 a.m. Disrespectful toward those sleeping. Also, in the morning an elderly woman with nothing better to do comes to check that you are properly within the parking markings and takes photos. Unpleasant.
Free parking in the sports area. Excellent location for walking around the lake, with a children's playground. There is a tap opposite the parking area for filling up with water. There are two other paid parking areas at €2/hour, free from 7 p.m. to 9 a.m.
A pleasant spot with an excellent environment for children; the river is two minutes away, with a fountain and toilets next to the bar during the day only.
Excellent place to stop. In high season there are many people and you probably won't find a space. Otherwise, there is paid parking farther on, but it costs €2 per hour. The police check often. Camping is forbidden! Be careful, they are very strict!
