Been here?
A spacious parking area near the Göta Canal, useful for visiting the locks and walking to the nature reserve. Camper parking is prohibited between 22-7, so it is suitable for daytime use only. Payment is made through an app, and the area has no services. Two bridges providing access have a 3.5 ton weight limit.

Nice place to visit the locks and take a walk in the nature reserve. The spot will be subject to a fee from August 28.Translating
You can stay here for free and explore the beautiful town. If there is an event at LOKVERKSTAD, the place can become very crowded, as it was today.Translating
Perfect parking area for visiting Motala, one of the very few remaining free places in the area. Perfect if you are self-sufficient, very quiet, only slightly sloping, and with fairly good internet reception.Translating
A good alternative for one night without services. The lock staircase is walkable, and Motala city center is easily reachable by bicycle along the Göta Canal. And all of this is free for 24 hours!Translating
Signs allow 24 hr parking with no restrictions, unlike many others in the Motala area. Large flat area at the end of the houses. We spent 1 quiet night here as we didn't need to fill or empty anything and it was perfect for then popping over to the Motor museum in the morning. No bins or any other services but it's not the end of the world to take your rubbish with you. Leave no footprints.....
Finally, a possibility to spend the night for free. Otherwise, it is hardly possible. Thank you.Translating
We stayed here for one night. Great. Quiet, and you can walk directly along the canal to the lock in 15 minutes. It is very interesting to watch the lock operation. Free for 24 hours. There were many motorhomes here when we stayed.Translating
