Quarry swimming, steep muddy access

A peaceful wild spot beside a quarry with a very good swimming area and views. There are plenty of stopping places, but no services, and some people walk or visit the water during the day. The approach is bumpy and steep, becoming very difficult or impassable in rain without 4x4; dry weather provides easier access. Overnight stays can be very quiet.

Very nice place. Plenty of spots to stop and enjoy the views, depending on the vehicle you come with.
Very nice and peaceful place with a beautiful view. No amenities; in bad weather, the rather steep access road may be a problem.
Fantastic place! Swimming in the quarry is so enjoyable. If the weather is dry, the track is very manageable. We spent a very peaceful night.

Very beautiful and level, great for swimming. But the access is quite challenging. Going down was fine; the step on my front-wheel-drive 6.40 m Pössl touched the ground slightly. The next morning I backed up a little and, with a run-up and front-wheel drive—not 4x4—got back up without any problems, although the step touched again slightly. So, if you can drive, you can get down and back up when it is dry; the step may get lightly scraped.
After a bumpy road around the lake you will reach a nice patch. We stayed over night and it was great. Only a few people walked by, otherwise we were all alone there.
Really nice place right next to a perfect swimming spot. HOWEVER, avoid if it’s supposed to rain! No chance you will get away without 4x4 (we watched a few people try and fail big time :D).
Great swimming lake and quiet spot behind it, right by the fields. Some walkers, cyclists, and other visitors to the lake came by, but everyone was friendly and paid no attention to the camper.
Luxury for one or two days, comfortable on the edge of the vineyard. Nice swimming.
