Alameda da Praia do Pego, 7570
Been here?
A small municipal motorhome area with 5 spaces for vehicles up to a maximum of 7.50 m, where overnight stays are allowed. Water, drinking water, grey-water disposal, electricity and bicycle-maintenance facilities are available, with water and electricity free for a maximum of 72h. The pitches are level and firm, but the area can fill quickly and some campers use the sloped parking opposite without electricity. It is generally quiet and about 15 minutes’ walk from the beach, with few nearby bars or shops; mosquitoes can be a problem.

You can see that Portuguese residents live there permanently; it is normal, people do the same in every country—beach and sun, away from home. We parked in the nearby car park for one quiet night.
full. it would be nice if people would leave after charging batteries. there are only 5 slots. plenty of good spots around if you wanna stay longer. very inconsiderable .
Local people permanently hang around and bully outsiders; it is all ridiculous, although the facilities work. There are lots of insects and an invasion of mosquitoes—impossible to stay.
Small area with five spaces where you can put out chairs and tables, as the ground markings define the pitches. Free water and electricity for a maximum of 72 hours. Level and firm ground. The only drawbacks are that it is a 15-minute walk to the beach and there are hardly any bars or shops nearby. Otherwise, the stay is very comfortable.
Ten out of ten for the council. Five pitches with electricity, a very convenient grey-water emptying area, and a quiet location near the beach.
Free, clean, quiet, and with several spaces. Near Carvalhal beach. The only drawback: the potable and non-potable water taps are reversed, so it is better to have a filter for non-potable water and a long hose. However, there is a fountain for filling flasks and bottles and a station for washing bicycles.
True to the description. Regular pitches were full, so we stayed at the sloped parking area opposite (no electricity). There were already 5 other campers, but there was room for a few more. In the evening, we heard some music from the nearby club, but otherwise all good.
Really a good place. We spent 1 quite night here for free. The slope is about 6 degrees- you need 2 wheel chocks.
Pleasant area but few places with electricity. Many caravans stay outside, but with some extension leads we can share electricity.
Practical, with clean water and a maintenance area. But only four outlets are functional. We arrived later and all were in use, and people did not share. Not good camping culture. All in all, try to arrive early.
Small space, but apparently well maintained. We could not stay because there were motorhomes with awnings set up and too much distance between the vehicles. Knowing that this is not allowed, it shows a lack of respect for other people.
Excellent stop. Easy cycling to the beach and market. Great restaurant nearby. Plenty of room next to the aire for the night. Cannot fault it, and there is also a bicycle repair station.
Very good aire, five spaces, but if people park a little closer, another motorhome can fit. The only bad thing is that the potable-water and toilet-cleaning taps have been switched, so the potable-water tap has no thread. Otherwise, perfect!
Everything you need is available! A great place—thanks to the council!
Great place provided by the council, with free electricity and water, and the beach is worth it—one of the most beautiful we have seen. Simply wonderful.
Very small parking area with everything included—emptying, water, and electricity—for free. We spent two peaceful nights. The area fills up very quickly because there are only five spaces. You can sleep in the car park directly opposite. Beautiful beach 15 minutes’ walk away. Very quiet for now.
Small parking area. Many campers parked outside the designated area.
Great place. You can stay for a maximum of 72 hours. Close to the beach. Water for washing bicycles. Drinking water, wastewater disposal, and electricity for everyone. Please keep the place clean. Thanks to the council.
Great for a level, free place with services but a bit tight and spaces fill up fast. We ended up parking down the road near the restaurant just for a night, which was fine. Nice and quiet and walking distance to the beach.
Nice place with what you need; no view, but peace and quiet and many storks. Only five spaces.
Great facility, even free electricity for two vehicles, if I saw correctly. Unfortunately, the drinking-water tap has no thread, making it quite difficult to fill the water tank.
Small motorhome area with all services and free electricity. Very quiet area. If you cannot find a space here because only six or seven vehicles fit, there is another car park next door, but it has a significant slope.
Impeccable place with everything needed for motorhomes. Eight small spaces, maximum vehicle length 7 m. Very beautiful beach with food service 1.5 km away. The taps should simply be reversed for better hygiene. Thanks to the council.
Convenient place near a beautiful beach, with the possibility of refilling water. The only drawback is the fairly steep slope. But it is quiet, and there are many storks around.
A very peaceful place for day or night. Free grey- and black-water disposal, and free water and electricity too. Quiet for spending the night, though there is light traffic in the morning, which is not very bothersome. It is 1.3 km from the beach and easy to reach on foot. Thanks to the council for making this kind of effort for people who enjoy this type of tourism.
Very practical, with electricity, but few spaces and somewhat narrow. Very popular.
The motorhome area is small, with only five spaces, so we spent one night in the car park opposite. It is currently noisy during the day because of roadworks and the nearby road, but quiet at night, although one car played loud music for a while until they got bored. Nice beach nearby, a 10-minute walk away, and bars nearby.
Thanks for the consideration shown by the motorhome users who occupy five spaces between three of them! Very thoughtful toward everyone else!
Beautiful, peaceful place. It would be even better if everyone kept to the marked parking width, otherwise you park like sardines. And honestly, the maximum vehicle length is 6.5 m at most—otherwise nobody can get out. Otherwise everything is fine; black water, grey water, and drinking water are available.
Perfect little spot. Arrived on December 30; a 15-minute walk to the beach and beautiful surroundings. It was quite full when we arrived, with two spots left.
Shame about the permanently bad-tempered campers; everything is full. It would be nice if the council did something about it.
Great stop, free electricity. Ten-minute walk to the beautiful beach.
Great for making a stop, filling up with water, and continuing on our way. It was full for a long stay. All services are free.
Free hook-up and all services clean and working. Possible to park over the road if full. Don't forget to bring some food to feed the aire guardian (The Friendly Black Cat)
(22 November 2025) Beautiful place, and we had a peaceful night! When we arrived, there were still spaces available. A short walk to the beach! We did not need any services, but everything required was available, plus a bicycle station.
We arrived on Monday the 24th in the afternoon and there were two spaces free. People probably stay for a long time only at weekends. During the week, you will certainly find a space outside the season. The barrier is open and online reservations are no longer required. Beautiful area, and a wonderful black cat welcomes you. Electricity and services work.
We were there on November 23, 2025, and all spaces were occupied by long-term campers. It is a shame that the council does not monitor this better. Otherwise it would certainly be a nice place for one or two nights.
We travelled by caravan and stayed here tonight, November 21–22. The motorhome area was full, but the car park opposite was empty and that is where we spent the night. Quiet area and pleasant village.
