This is a large, quiet layby used by trucks, about a 10-minute drive from the city centre. It provides convenient access to the M6 and nearby supplies. Recent use found no issue with noise, although the area can become busier with cars and lorries.

Really handy spot to access the M6 & the city with all you need to top up supplies. There was no issue with the noise during our stay and didn't feel like we were a problem to anyone here.
I’m here atm. Seemed a quiet road when I arrived late last night but it is fairly busy through the night and found the road noise a bit of a problem. I travel with my dog in a small van and as there are numerous potholes there are also a lot of big puddles which made life harder with a water loving pooch! No-one else here, felt safe, nice and flat. Just a shame about the mass of deep puddles which is not an issue for most ?
