Quiet mountain parking, seasonal closure

Hello, ideal place with a beautiful view of the mountains and a flat parking area. The neighboring field is overrun by Travellers.

Free paved parking with a superb view and a bakery from 6 a.m. But beware: the toilet is closed in the evening. In July 2026, 100 caravans belonging to an unidentified religious sect were in the open field in front; in any case, it was peaceful.

Safe, quiet, free park up, some noise from church and cow bells but we slept very well. Only one space when we arrived, spaces slightly narrow. All fine with the emptying, we didn't need water so unaware of any issues. Interesting info boards in the village also lots of recycling bins. Many thanks for this free place. I put in several €1 coins but got no water. It is not a problem that the Flot Bleu service point is broken; I am a kind person and said nothing. I asked at the bakery, and they told me I could get water at the cemetery. Oh no, that is not right; one must not behave badly. I stopped by on Saturday.

The water has been restored; you need two €1 coins, and then you get water for 20 minutes. Quiet place, almost no shade. Bakery around the corner, and opposite there is often a mobile pizza vendor. Delicious pizza!

Very quiet and clean area. Perfect for an overnight stop. Excellent bakery nearby. You can also buy ready-made food in the immediate vicinity.

At the moment the water is not working; two euros wasted! Otherwise, the pitch seems very quiet and fine for an overnight stop.

A spectacular area, very worthwhile, with all services and spectacular views. It looks very safe. It is in a village, and best of all, you do not have to detour from your route.

Quiet place in an idyllic setting, 10 minutes from the A43. We spent the night here before continuing our journey the next day. It feels peaceful and safe. The best thing is the bakery at the entrance, which opens at 6:30 a.m.

The service point seems to be closed, but we didn't need it. Very quiet area. Bells until 10 p.m., but not bothersome. Well signposted. Well-stocked bakery.

Perfect area, 3 km from the motorway, with water and waste services. Convenient and peaceful.

We spent a very peaceful night. The bells stop at night. If these sounds bother you, look for another place. There is a public WC available during the day, and it is very clean. The service area operates with €1 coins and works well. Nearby bakery with good products. Thanks to the community for this area.

The place is very quiet and there are very few people at this time of year. It has an alarm-clock service ⏰: the church bells right next door ring at 7 a.m. Since December 1, it has had no services.

Everything was closed. Information in the parking area said it was open until December 1, but unfortunately it was already out of service on November 29, boarded up.

We wanted to fill up with water yesterday, November 5. We put in €2 and nothing happened...... No water to fill the tank, only facilities to empty the cassette and grey water.

Perfect for one night. Services. Water €2. Sheep, sunshine, the Savoie valley opposite. Bakery. Reception. Peaceful.

Lovely quiet camperstop. Our second stay here. Excellent boulangerie. Services OK. There is a shiny new W/C by the entrance to the car park. You press a green light to get in.

Excellent municipal area for an overnight stop; in the morning there is a bakery with freshly baked croissants and baguettes.

This is our second visit to Bourgneuf. Thank you to the municipality for welcoming motorhomes. It is a pleasant, quiet area, with the baker next door, facilities for emptying and filling up, and peace and quiet. See you again very soon.

Too many cars coming and going. Dogs barking very early. Garbage truck passes around 6 in the morning—in short, not great for sleeping. Fine just for emptying and filling with water.

We stayed here last night. This would have been 4/5 stars - toilet was clean, pizza van nearby. At 2am a car arrived dangerously next to us, the driver drunk and most likely on drugs, the car nearly went into our van. The car parked next to an old camper van which looks like it’s permanently there. The guy beat his dog for 10 mins until it’s stopped crying. We left around 0230. Felt unsafe.

Pizza truck next to the level crossing, highly recommended. Pleasant couple and very good pizzas. Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Not 15 spaces: many cars parked, one stripped-down motorhome, and another set up as a garage, causing constant noise. Apart from the bakery, which is closed on Sundays. And on Saturday afternoon there was nothing going on; perhaps we happened to choose the wrong weekend.

Good place to take a break on the way. Free dumping services but filling is paid. The best thing is the bakery at the entrance.

Great for an overnight stop on the way home. Quiet, with just a few bells, but not at night. Bakery and pastry shop at the entrance with good products and very pleasant staff.

I stopped here tonight and thought it was a good place to rest on the way back from Switzerland.

We only stayed one night. Very peaceful. Very good.

I had a great experience. The view of the mountain is amazing, the area is like a barn, it was all clean. Bins and also compost in the place. The bell of the church sings frequently and unfortunately there was somebody noisy until late night, maybe a guy that looks like is living in the place. Even though, I felt safe and would come back.

Excellent flat area, recycling bins, excellent dumping and filling for €2, about 20 minutes and 80 litres.
