14 Cañada Motril, 18600, Motril
Been here?
This gravel and dirt parking area below the park is currently affected by construction works, and one recent report says it was impossible to stop there. The available space has become smaller and may be crowded with cars. There are no services, and the surface can be muddy in rain.

The parking area is under construction; we could not stop here.
Parking on gravel/sand, potholes and muddy when it rains. Messy place. We diverted to the Alcampo car park!! More than an excellent alternative.
Spacious parking area, currently somewhat smaller due to construction. It is therefore completely full, with some campers and many cars. Gravel, reasonably level, sunny, no facilities, but rubbish bins. On the edge of town, so there is road noise. If you stand on the left side of the car park, it is manageable and even very quiet at night. Not particularly charming, but sufficient for visiting the town. You are next to a beautiful park with a free cactus garden.
Dirt parking area, easy to park in, suitable for motorhomes of any size.
The parking area is quite small now; part of it is under construction (the largest section). There are many cars parked. If you have a van or a compact motorhome, you should be able to park, but with one like mine, 7.5 metres long, it is more difficult. Come early in the morning or late in the evening.
Large parking area; I was able to park with my 12 m motorhome. Choose your arrival time carefully, as the parking area is full in the morning and evening (school and swimming pool). Beautiful public garden 200 m away. Tourist office 500 m away with French-speaking staff. The sea is 2 km away. Quiet despite everything.
Very well located for visiting Motril, near the beautiful cactus garden. Since it is in town, it is noisy in the evening and morning, but we slept well. Lots of litter in this parking area, which is a shame.
Large, easily accessible site. Quiet night, convenient for visiting the town. However, there is a lot of traffic during the day.
no facilties but a safe stop, fairly level ground and town is good for supplies
Free, spacious, and easy to access for all types of motorhomes. But very noisy, next to a busy road.
We spent the day there to visit the park. Highly recommended.
Good option to visit Motril and to stay overnight. I recommend to arrive early or late as during the day the parking is full of regular cars. Beautiful park next door
Simple parking area. Lots of cars, but quiet.
Absolutely avoid this place if you are a light sleeper... lots of car noise and an engine running continuously all night; it is unbearable!!
Quiet place close to the town centre on foot, where there are restaurants, bars and shops. A city like Motril should have a regulated motorhome area; it would benefit the city greatly.
There is lots of space to park, but there are many cars and people. At night it is fine, but it is next to a road.
You can go to the swimming pool here. During the week it is only open to the public in the morning. You have to show an identification card, and payment is only by card. You are assigned a lane by the lifeguard where you may swim for one hour. Lovely warm shower. Quiet night in the parking area, although there are many cars.
The site is next to a wonderful park, which also has a small dog park and a cactus garden. The parking itself is fine too. Unfortunately, at the beginning of February there was an irritating, shrill whistling sound, possibly from the heating system of the nearby swimming pool.
Noisy, directly next to a factory.
