Unnamed road, 3880, Ovar
Been here?
This large car park has 11 reserved motorhome spaces behind the dune at Furadouro beach. It is free and spacious, with bars and restaurants nearby, but recent reports describe loud nights with dogs, traffic, construction and occasional events. The beach is beautiful, although access has been affected by construction. The adjacent public toilets and showers were recently closed.

Overall it is quite noisy. A circus was set up directly beside the car park during our stay and played loud music until midnight; dogs repeatedly barked at night. Traffic and construction began at 7 a.m. The toilets were also closed. Nevertheless, the beach is very beautiful and there is always plenty of space in the large car park.
Quiet, spacious, level place. A short walk from the village. I spent three wonderful nights. Next to the beach, accessed via a wooden walkway. There are actually many more than 11 motorhomes, without any problem. Thanks for this OVAR space.
We were woken at night by barking dogs and cars driving full speed across the car park.
Place with plenty of space and peace, with a beautiful beach.
Large, well-located parking area beside the sea, separated by a sand dune and vegetation. Somewhat busy; I counted nearly 30 motorhomes, but there was still room and it was very quiet. No bar noise, contrary to other comments. The beach near the restaurant is being renovated, but the beach nearby and to the north is very beautiful.
Located right next to the road, which made for a relatively loud night (partly due to local youth revving their car engines). Description mentions 11 spots, but we spent the night here with about 20 other vans. Beach not accessible due to constructions. Parking was free though. Would only recommend in case of no other options.
Pretty good place to stay on the beach. The actual access to the beach was a bit difficult, but they were doing work, too. Bamboo Restaurant served up a great sandwich, fries and pizza. It was quiet at night, and we were joined by 14 other campers.
Easy-to-access parking area. When we arrived in the evening, around 10 other motorhomes/campers were spread out around it. There is plenty of parking, and the beach is directly behind the dunes. A gorgeous sunset at the beach. Bins available.
We spent a quiet night here. The 11 camper spaces were occupied only by us and one other vehicle. Eight other campers were scattered around the car park. In May there was otherwise nobody here, but please behave like decent guests when it is busier! The possibility of staying here for free is fantastic, and beside the car park you can cross the dune to the beautiful beach.
A great place to relax. Public toilets and bar/ restaurant were open. A very quiet sleep. An easy place to cyle and walk. Thank you for allowing this.
We spent a quiet night here with about 25 other motorhomes. Thanks to the municipality for providing this opportunity. What increasingly bothers me, however, is that campers no longer briefly greet one another with “hello,” “bon dia,” “moin,” or “bonjour.” A sad development.
Perfect for visiting the village.
Off season, ghost town, very quiet, great broad walk and beach. A few narrow roads in the old tiwn
Very convenient parking for going to the beach and taking walks. Free parking on the coast.
Thank you to the town for giving us this parking. Lots of space, and perfect parking in the lee of a dune. Slept to the sound of the waves. Off season but a lovely town. Spotlessly clean, public toilets and showers available. Friendly. Lovely traditional old terraced homes covered in tiles , I couldn't take enough photos. Very friendly town, will be back in season
Stayed for two nights. Pretty crowded during the weekend but on Monday and Tuesday there was just a few campers there.
Not really beautiful. Very busy during the day. But okay for one night. Some shops and restaurants nearby, as well as toilets.
Beautiful beach, large area with enough space for many vehicles. I felt safe there and can recommend the place. Thanks to the municipality.
Good spot for spending a quiet night but nothing special just a huge parking lot.
parking lot with parking for camper vans. direct beach access from the lot. public toilet/shower are in the adjacent Parking lot. not super clean, but good enough if needed.
