Unnamed Road, 37220, La Fregeneda
Been here?
A large, level parking area at the Vega de Terrón dock, with beautiful views and generally peaceful overnight conditions. Bins and recycling containers are available, while the reception centre has a bar and mobile toilets that open in the morning; public toilets are locked at night. The Camino de Hierro starts here, and a bus goes to its trailhead, although docked boats may run generators overnight and lights remain on.

Watch out at night: there was a cruise ship moored at the pier whose generator ran all night, making it difficult for us to sleep. Otherwise, a quiet place.
Absolute tranquility at night. Level parking with beautiful views. There are garbage and recycling bins, which are often lacking. The bus that takes you to the start of the railway path leaves from here.
Spectacular place to sleep. Thank you for letting us park there. This is where the Iron Way starts.
Large, level parking area. They keep spotlights on all night.
Excellent place to start hiking routes: GR 14 toward La Fregeneda, or the Iron Way. Or simply enjoy the scenery and sleep very peacefully.
We booked to do the Iron Way, which starts right here. The place is beautiful because it is a landing stage. The ground is level; there is a bar and mobile toilets that open in the morning. We spent a very peaceful night. The bridge is beautiful at night.
Quiet place and ideal for starting the Iron Way. I do not recommend the restaurant; we ate octopus and left feeling that we had been robbed.
Quiet place for spending the night, fairly level, with garbage bins and great views. Quite a lot of light throughout the night.
We slept very peacefully; apart from some noise from the cruise ship, everything was silent. The problem was that we came from the parking lot opposite and left because we had a gawker, who apparently followed us and whom we found running toward us when we opened the van at 6:30 a.m. to prepare for the Way. Very creepy; we left because he was watching us from a corner.
Sandy parking area without services, with some level sections. Overnight stays are possible at any time of year. There is a bar at the reception center that stays open late.
Spacious parking without shaded spots. Slept well.
Good views, clean place, quiet for spending the night, with a good hiking route. Reservation is required the day before for the route.
Perfect for doing the Iron Way, quiet and safe.
Had the car park to ourselves. Really peaceful. Beautiful views. Nice walks. Think it may also be a meeting point for the Camino de Hierro.
Super, quiet place. Starting point for beautiful hikes. However, no waste disposal or fresh-water facilities. We spent the night here alone under floodlights.
